Trade Input Request

Jazz fan here coming in peace, asking for your thoughts on a crazy trade I am thinking through.
If the Nets were offered Millsap (an expiring UFA who would help with your playoff push this year and possibly be able to be signed longer term) and Raja Bell, what would they be willing to give up in addition to Humphries? Would the Nets give up a 1st round pick?
As an aside, would the Nets be interested in Jason Terry for Marshon Brooks if needed to make the above deal work?

No. I wouldn't pull a Billy King. I'd keep Humphries until next season on the expensive bench. Milsap would just be a rental cuz I don't see us paying him 40 million over 4 years. We have enough Milsaps on this team. We're (hopefully) looking for guys that can defend and run. And I still think we will end up with Dwight...so maybe we can use Humphries contract as a sign and trade for him...Pipe dream...but sure looks good.

What?
I'd give up anybody on this roster not named Deron or Brook for Milsap. Why wouldn't we resign him? We'd own his rights, and can go over the cap to extend him, no? Enough Milsaps on this team? What the hell is that nonsense?

That's a steal.
I'd hesitate on the Marshon/Terry trade.

If dwight isn't in Nets jersey by the trade deadline then it's virtually impossible to get him. So humphries is irrelevant in any possible howards trade. Just throwing that out there.
As for this deal... I agree with the sentiment that we would be better off holding on to humphries 'til next year where he'll be an expiring, therefor having more value.

I think our front office would be willing to spend, so.
I think we would be willing to give up our pick, brooks, as well as take on terry.
+ Our front office is looking to win immediately. We are not going to pass up moves. Look at Gerald Wallace.

i would think the nets would make that trade in a second.

I would trade marhson brooks for a protected 2075 second round pick. he has no value to this team and is a terrible player with 0 upside. so yes i would do that swap in a second

As an outsider, that is my impression of the Nets owner and FO- win now to try to win now at all costs in order to take over the market and give bragging rights to your Russian billionaire owner.
The Jazz aren't interested in Humphries or Brooks or Terry, but they are pieces that other teams might be interested in. I wanted to gauge support before throwing a crazy trade idea out there.

Well, maybe I'm in the minority but I would trade anyone outside of Deron and Brook to get Millsap. I would throw a 1st round draft pick in there, but no more than 1. I would also throw in cash considerations.

Personally I wouldn't.
Our next trade sending out picks & players is likely our last till 2016. Thats why we need to be sure we make the right deal, thats why I believe we're screwed as well with King at the helm

How about Marshon for your first rounder this year?
