by Hello Brooklyn
We matchup pretty well with the Pacers.
I'm hoping we win but I honestly don't know. This team has been playing just awful as of late.

Hypothetical: Playoffs roll around, and D-Will magically returns to form and becomes a top 10 beast of a player, and we lose whenever we end up losing (because we sure as hell aren't winning)...is all forgiven, or at least, is most forgiven?
I mean, everyone says playoffs are all that matter...but honestly, it really wouldn't be enough to redeem his season imo. Especially if we lose to a team we could have beaten if we had HCA, and didn't have it because we didn't finish with a good enough record in the regular season.

honestly, dwill bouncing back into form isnt going to help, because our issues are almost all on the defensive end. and he was never a good defender to begin with

Pacers are going to come out pissed since they lost to the Raptors again. I expect them to get after tonight so I don't expect a blow out especially at home.

the pacers can do whatever they want... they are still a fruad team we should beat even with a C+ effort.

Indiana's really good at home. This one will probably be a close one but I do think we'll pull it out. As long as PG doesn't go ham we'll be in good shape.
Prediction:
Nets 89
Pacers 82

It will be a miracle if we win the next 2 games going to all-star break.

LOL, with the way we're playing right now, why do you think we'd be able to beat a really good home team in their building?
I think this might be another blowout if anything. A few things need to happen for us to actually play up to our talent:
-PJ needs to realize that Wallace and Evans together doesn't work, and that Evans for anything more than 15 minutes MAX doesn't work
-Deron needs to get his head out of his ass and play with the kind of effort we saw in Washington
-JJ needs to be hitting his shots
-Lopez needs to play better than he did last time against Hibbert
-Our defense needs to be much more sound...I wouldn't be opposed to playing Wallace at PF a lot more, because Hump and Evans have been atrocious defensively

Didn't think we were going to win with D-Will and I'm even more sure now that he's out till after the all-star break.

For sure we cant win with D-Will if he is out

.
Maybe we can pull a Celtics thing for this game, where we actually try when our star point guard is out? Would be nice.

Trick question because we won't lose in the first round if he plays like a top 10 player, unless it's Miami or Rose is actually Rose when he returns (unlikely).

I really think the Pacers(Knicks as well) are the only teams ahead of us in the standings that aren't better than we are. Don't get me wrong defensively they're top notch and PG is a stud but they struggle to score as much as we do, if not more. The problem I see with the Nets recently has been defensively more than anything, well that and effort but we show the effort we showed in the first half against the spurs even 70% of that I don't see the Pacer winning. We don't have to be elite defensively to hang with the Pacers. Just my opinion. Now that I know Dwill's out, however, it turns into a steel uphill battle for us that I don't see us winning.

Yeah, D-Will being out kind of killed whatever chance we had, unless CJ plays out of his mind.
