It wouldn't shock me if they lost this one as well.

One and DONE.

With Reggie Evans in the starting lineup Wallace becomes redundant...One or both of those guys should be coming off the bench...Wallace has no purpose on the floor when surrounded by JJ and Evans.

 Seriously? Relax. We win 3: YAY, lose 1: f*ck this team.

First off, it was a trap game. Secondly, The Sixers were on a 5 game losing streak. Thirdly, the Nets clearly overlooked them which isn't good but let's not act like nobody else in the league doesn't do it either.

They will bounce back and win tonight. With or without PJ's dumbass rotations. I'll be attending, so I'm expecting a solid win.

Be concerned about the Atlanta game.

the problem with writing the sixers off is that its not an isolated event. every chance this team has to prove it isnt a fraud, it fails miserably.

i agree with mdb - 1 and done

So, not beating the Sixers proves the team is a fraud? I'd like to think "proving" something would be beating playoff teams on the road like in Atlanta or going forward with games at LA, Denver, Utah.

I can be very critical of the team or coaching staff but this is getting ridiculous now. If we win the next 7 straight games everyone pretends like it didn't happen.

This is a big game. Yesterday was a big let down.

We need to start showing that games like that were a fluke and not the norm (especially defensively).

I'm not going to make a prediction cuz I have no idea what Nets team will show up tonight.

I really hope we win this game. A day like today I have off and it's raining and really I have nothing significant to do so basically I'm just lampin' waiting for this game to start and then when they lose on days like this I'm like damn, really haha?

Knicks just shot 27.4% against Golden State and scored 63 points.

They are clearly done as well.

I'd like to think the players will come out with a much better defensive effort tonight, because all they could talk about in the post-game interviews was the lack of defense.

Lets make a statement tonight, there's no excuse why we shouldn't come out clicking on all cylinders after that pathetic loss last night. Today is a new day and new game, LETS GO NETS.

Thad Young killed us. Why? Evans guarded him. Hawes killed us, why? Mirza was guarding him. You wanna know how we beat Philly twice this year? Young couldn't drive, shoot or post up Wallace at PF. Evans outrebounded Hawes when guarding him. So, basically we lost due to mismatches.

Against NOH our matchups were

-Deron on Aminu
-Wallace on Gordon
-CJ on Vasquez
-Reggie on Davis
-Brook on Robin

If we don't see the following:

-Deron on Vasquez
-Wallace on Gordon
-Joe on Aminu
-Reggie on Davis
-Brook on Robin

PJ is purposely screwing around.

There is literally no excuse to see random questionable rotations or matchups especially since we blew them out by putting Wallace on Gordon and making him invisible in pick and rolls with Davis.

Also, Deron has to come out aggressive. He can't begin getting passive for the majority of the 1st quarter unless there is a matchup to exploit.

That Washington game probably would be a close contest if he didn't come out aggressive looking to score and attack their defense.

This is a huge game. 2.5 back of the Knickerfockers, Boston at Charlotte tonight, ATL/MIA, Indiana has LA tomorrow. We can gain major ground before 4 off days and hopefully watch NY crumble in the next 4 days.

Lopez was on Hawes for majority of the night and played terrible defense all game.

True but pick and rolls is where Reggie didn't help on and gambled. Hawes wasn't doing anything until the second half.

Definitely agree bro, Evans effort was piss poor and he has always sucks at guarding the pick and roll, no matter if he's switching or trying to fight through the screen.

I'm putting last night's loss mainly on PJ and the bigs (actually I'll extend it to "front court", since Wallace was crap...again). Lopez/Blatche/Mirza/Evans/Wallace were all getting owned defensively. Where I blame PJ is that 3 out of 5 of those guys give you offense so that there's some justification to keep them on the court. Playing Evans and Wallace that many minutes, TOGETHER, is just braindead coaching. EVERYONE saw how useless Evans was and how easy that made our offense to defend. They were leaving him wide open by himself under the rim and doubling Deron, and Deron couldn't even pass him the ball under the rim, because it would more likely be a TO or a missed shot or a trip to the FT line than an actual basket. I'm not even going to discuss Wallace, it infuriates me even seeing his name. How bad is this dude?

But even then, the only times Wallace has actually consistently been good defensively and actually poses a threat offensively is when he plays PF, and especially with the Sixers playing Thad Young at the 4, it was a PERFECT time to go with Wallace at the 4, especially when we needed stops late. PJ acts like he doesn't even exist, or that the option of playing him at the 4 is ludicrous. But then again, you could blame Wallace too, since I have a theory that he was upset at PJ and was on the bench for more than just his play, which was bad enough.

Ryan Anderson is out tonight. Lou Amundson (just signed) will replace him off the bench for the Hornets.
