Even with us being down in this series, the pressure is on the Bulls to close it out tonight...the Nets need to break them tonight by not letting them get comfortable...I'd press the hell out of them for most of the game...

Yea, we need to come out gangbusters tonite. we go into their building, punch them in the mouth and smack the around the way we have the last 2 games (sans the last 4 minutes of game 4) and go home with a double digit win they will be road kill.

on the flip side, we cant go do big earlier either... cause once they smell blood that could be it. this game will ride alot on emotion imo.

hopefully we got hot from 3.

Keep Evans off of the floor, put Lopez and Blatche out there together for significant minutes, and we win this game. It's as simple as that.

Haven't watched the team other than on National TV, on the Hawks & Bulls channel during the regular season and a few times at the local sports bar. So, I've been hesitant to form any strong opinions on the personnel.

But yeah, Blatche getting way more minutes than Evans helps the cause considerably.

I've said it all year...Evans can get the same type of numbers coming off the bench/while decreasing his min. some...despite Humps shortcomings, he definitely is the better offensive player, and can at least get out on the fastbreak for an easy bucket...but we all know the love fest w/ Evans...I dunno whats worse when he didn't shoot at all or now him taking a huge initiative on offense when he has the open shot...my problem recently w/ Evans has been defensive mistakes and missing a box out here and there which is where his bread and butter is made...

You knew our rotation was going to be shorten in the playoffs, but I am honestly shocked how Bogans has gotten no run...

I've asked for the Blatche/Lopez starting line up and would hope we see more of this front court tonight...this will open things up more for Brook and if we get a hot Blatche going, it definitely gives us an upper hand hopefully at the foul line and foul trouble for the Bulls front court...

I would love to see Stack on the bench at least early, I would not mind if Marhson was benched and maybe we got a Tele sighting if we needed a little extra shooting or scoring...would love to see more of Hump/Bogans/Tele...

We'll see...I've had my frustrations w/ the coaching just like the rest of us...

well tonight is the night....

I cant fathom why Evans is still seeing the floor on the amount of time he's been giving by PJ, I've had enough with PJ and PJ related materials.....

here's to us jumping out to a good lead and hopefully turning it up on the defensive end.

Lopez, don't stop!!! keep pushing and get to the rim, draw some fouls!

All these Bulls injuries (Deng, Gibson) are smokescreens so that the Nets get overconfident. I don't buy it, they're all gonna play and I suspect Hinrich will too.

Hinrich is out.

The others will play and Nets are playing the same game. JJ saying he can't barely walk so he's a decoy shooter now.

I don't know in what thread the 'Melo vs D-Will comparison was brought up, but it was recent and I remember a few people syaing that Melo has just been on another level in this years playoffs... well...

Melo:

PER: 19.6
TS%: .494
USG: 39.6
ORTG: 98
WS/48: .108

His rebounding has fallen dramatically, he has a higher TO% than AST% and is taking 5 trey attempts per game despite shooting below 30%. He's averaging 31 points... on 28 shots per game.

Deron:

PER: 20.2
TS%: .568
USG: 24.5
ORTG: 111
WS/48: .155

Maybe... just maybe, people are too quick to jump the gun when criticizing/praising players.

Heard Reggie Evans was sick and did not practice yesterday. Expected to start still I think. Anyone heard any updates, I haven't?

Don't believe the Bulls medical reports.... how many times have we read Noah is doubtful? lol

Hinrich or not, Dwill needs to school and take control on both sides.

Lopez, don't stop...believing...

Maybe having JJ as a spot up shooter more so than before could be a blessing? Maybe this pushes Crash inside and try to make somehting happen in the post?

The Game 4 thread is hilarious and sad with all sorts of kneejerking posts.

Deron > Melo in the postseason and Brook's numbers compared to Melo's is nuts.

In 6 games, he hasn't a single one where he didn't shoot 45% or better.

@ESPNStatsInfo In the 36 minutes that Brook Lopez and Andray Blatche have played together in the series, the Nets have outscored the Bulls 91-53

If only PJ had access to such metrics

I also think Deng and Gibson will play. They have the flu...boohoo.

I'm so nervous I'm almost sick. Losing this series would be incredibly difficult to live with after the Game 4 collapse.

I don't think we'd lose Game 7 at home. WIN TONIGHT!

To go even deeper:

With a line-up of Williams-Johnson-Wallace-Blatche-Lopez, the Nets are averaging 36.8 REBS, 22.1 ASTS, 7.4 TO’s, 66.7% 3-PT, 55.6% FG, and 102.9 PTS Per36 minutes.

With a line-up of Williams-Johnson-Wallace-Evans-Lopez, the Nets are averaging 31.6 REBS, 9.8 ASTS, 12.0 TO’s, 33.3% 3-PT, 42.1% FG, and 64.4 PTS Per36 minutes.

So in context, the Nets are averaging more (Per36), Rebounds, points, assists, and a higher shooting % (and less TO’s) with Blatche with the starters, than Evans.

Again, for those who thought otherwise....The issue is obvious. Passion has nothing to do with it.
