Above is my Ode to Paul Pierce just posted on Celtics Real GM Board.

After a lifetime of Celtics fanaticism, I am temporarily joining you guys. I will always be a Celtics fan, but the 'Paul Pierce Nets' are now my primary team until Paul retires.

Paul + KG added to a stud PG like DWill, Lopez & JJ can beat LeQueen & **** down the necks of the KnUcks!.

Hey all, I'm one of those VC era Nets fan

I Loved watching Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel on the YES! Network commentating games. Haven't watched a Nets broadcast in a while are they still on TV?

There is no reason on earth a lifelong Celtic fan can't remain a Celtic fan while simultaneously temporarily rooting for a Celtic legend on his new team until that Celtic legend retires in about 2 years.

I think you can be a fan of a player as much as you can be a fan of a team. I don't see any problem in that, no matter who the player is. I think being a fan of a team only is something too many people tend to do.

Root for whatever team you want and whichever player you want.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. It might cause you to choke on Pierce's nuts.

Have fun with this guy, Nets fans. Going to spend the next two years derailing every thread that Pierce is even mentioned in, defending him from every slight, real or perceived, no matter how minor, as if you'd just slapped his mother at the dinner table.

I will also be joining you guys and making the Nets my primary team until Pierce retires. I've been a Celtics fan since 01, but I hate the direction the franchise is going in. I can't understand building around Rondo.. He always been overrated to me.

Hey Ex, at least we get to get away from all those non Pierce appreciators over there, right? They won't have to worry about Pierce getting in the way of Rondo and taking the last second shot anymore.

Can't wait to catch a ton of games at the Barclay's center this year.

Hi, longtime KG fan here, from Minny via Boston. I can get down with the Nets, seeing as Wolves and Celts are going to suck (Boston for a couple of seasons, Minny - till Taylor is out as the owner). Also I hate the Knicks and revel in their misery. I don't really like the roster, minus D-Will and Lopez, but I can get behind J-Kidd as a coach, I think he will excel.

And what happened to that famous troll from your board, who hated KG? Nets_Force?

Well, we here are more into metrics but the other blog site is Netsdaily.com and thebrooklyngame.com is where usually information is found quicker on the team and some stats.
