Obviously the big deal a year ago was the potential trade for the Nets to acquire Dwight Howard.

Do you think the Nets dodged a bullet by having this trade not happen, and ending up with our current Dwill/JJ/Pierce/Garnett/Brook team? Or do you think the team would still have been better off with the hypothetical post-Howard-trade line-up?

we'd have deron and dwight and likely no joe johnson. we could have built a team much better and still had a chance to get kg or pierce anyhow

We would've not got Evans knor sign Hump to that ridiculous deal. Unless our team had a plan to make Hump that big expiring trade chip.

Our team definitely would've looked better just because of fit/chemistry.

I just think we would've had the same problem against the Bulls/Season i.e. leadership.

I can see us signing KG as well this season after BUT I didn't think we would've taken on Pierce

Also we definitely would've fired Avery and PJ as well IMO

option 1 is a million times better. we also have a bajillion times the long and short term cap flexibility. We also would have the full MLE to work with every year

Yeah I think we would have been fine with Howard. Our situation isn't the same as the Lakers, so he probably wouldn't have had half the problems he had over there.

Hard to call it... the celtic acq. was really a result of (IMO) horrendoues performance & production of our 3/4 spots....

what would've been given up for D12? etc.... hard to say that in hindsight....

FA wise, I think the likes of OJ Mayo and Korver were available... maybe Earl Clark would've been added with D12?
Could Iggy be signed? Josh Smith? Eric Gordon? Wilson Chandler? Kidd? Camby? AK?

I feel the scenario is fairly large to draw what ifs....

Dwight can STFU and just play ball. The Dwightmare is getting old while Dwight still isn't (mentally)...
