If the Nets had no other options and it came down to these two players who would you choose?

I voted for Mirza. He may not be as ready as Tawn but he can still develop & be a trade asset moving forward. Besides, he really hasn't been given ample playing time.

It's not hard to pick youth over experience especially if it's Jamison we're talking about...

We have a lot of age on our team already. I still want to give Mirza a chance this season. I think ownership has made it very clear they don't want to dick him around like the last 2 coaches did.

I honestly want to see Mirza and Reggie fight for the reserve 4 spot. May the best man win it!

Jamison is washed up

Does Jamison have a ring? I figured he would have retired by now.

I know Antawn is up there in basketball years- but I think I would have to pick him over Teletovic due to Mirza's inability to play defense. Also Teletovic is too one dimensional, Jamison can shoot long range and attack the basket even at his age. Just my .02 cents.

Fair enough. They both have their struggles defensively.

If this was maybe just 2 years ago I would have said yes to Jamison.

I never liked Jamisons game even when he was in his prime in Washington so i'd rather keep Mirza . Now that he's very close to done i'm not even going to argue this.

Jamisons defense that never was any good is now completely non-existent . He doesn't even try anymore to defend anyone and just allows his opponents to score at will on him ( at least thats what i felt last year ) .

Also Jamison is coming off wrist surgery .

Jamison sucks. I watched alot of Laker games last season and for a guy who wanted to "win" so badly back in Washington, he came to LA and pretty much acted like a complete goofball rookie. He did not care about defense (never has) but he didn't care about being a team player either. It just seemed like he was just enjoying being in LA. That's all.

Mirza atleast we try and compete on the glass, compete defensively on the post. Jamison never has and never will. Thank god we didn't sign him.

I was entering this thread with the purpose of making a joke but apparently it's a serious thread.

I'd take Mirza all day, yesterday and tomorrow over Jamison.

Why... WHY do people like Antwan Jamison? He's been trash for the past 3-4 years now, like serious dead weight that hurts his team more than he helps.

Not only was he horrible with the Lakers (a guy who only wants to score was in D'Antoni's doghouse for a while, that should say something) but he was dreadful while with the Cavs as well. No thanks. Mirza may not be anything special, but he can potentially be developed into a capable rotational player... while Jamison is nearing the end of his basketball career. This is a no brainer.
