Top 25 Players Pt.III - Who's #25?

The fourth best small forward in the NBA EVEN at age 35-36 - whose stats & advanced stats during the 2012-2013 season (especially after the ASG) summarized by myself & one other poster in the #24 thread were freaking REMARKABLE! (& clearly superior to the #24 selection - Paul George). PAUL **** PIERCE.
PS FWIW, ESPN ranks him as second to Durant amongst SFs based on RECENT past performance & NOT based on his brilliant 15 year HOF career & reputation as one of the best wings of his generation (Bron & Melo were placed in PF category).

Horford.
its insane Bosh or Horford wont make this list, both should easily make it. George over either is insane.

Yea, id have voted pierce in a while ago but i feel horford is better and thus never got a chance too. Pierce, at least for this season, is still the superior player to george. I understand george is an outstanding defender, but the pass he gets on offense from media/fans is crazy.
And the excuse that he was asked to carry the team without granger is moot vs pierce who took on a similar role with rondo down, only in pierces case he actually was able to do it

Agreed that Pierce still >> George - at least until Truth ages further and/or George improves his O game & matures.
BTW, I really really dislike & have always disliked comparing across positions. It makes no sense to me. However, I "play the game" because everyone seems to do it. As far as SFs are concerned, only Bron, KD & Melo rank ahead of the Truth at this point in his brilliant career, and, until George snuck in as #24 yesterday, that is how this thread played out.
PS You guys are going to love what an elite, complete & professional baller PP STILL is - EVEN at age 36. Absent serious injury to Truth, Ticket, DWill, BLo, & JJ, the Nets are going to give the Heatles a serious challenge & **** all over the KnUcks.

Vote for Pierce. Nets w/ 12, 20, 22 and 25? Not too shabby.

right, but thats on the nets board, where its pretty biased.
in reality, it should reality by more like 14(dwill) 20(kg) 23(pierce) as the only 3

Yeah in reality I'd have D-Will around 15, then KG late teens, then I don't know about Pierce or Brook if we're counting on reliability/playoff performance/going forward.

I'd say Duncan went too high, Noah went too high, and KG went too low. Other than that, nothing to really complain about on this list, everyone is pretty reasonably ranked.

Just because Truth had a shaky POs versus your team last spring when he was playing with a flare of his pinched cervical nerve does NOT mean he is not still a stud. Check out his advanced stats in the RS - especially after the ASG. :0). He is arguably still a Top 10-20 NBA player. He has aged incredibly well. His elite game was never dependent on uber-athleticism.
