Nets #3

Pacers at #2 is a complete joke and kind of renders the entire list moot.

pacer hater or not... #2?

for a team that won 49 games and got smashed worse then we did by .500+ competition?

Well, analysts love that they match up well against the Heat and are just running with that. As far as .500 competition, it's not like they'll be facing that in the playoffs.

Can't really take these rankings seriously. First of all, the Bulls if anyone should be ahead. Marc does a poor job of making it clear if he's basing his Pacers ranking off of their offseason, regular season, postseason or all combined. Instead he basically just says "I like them, so let's stick them up there". Not a fan of that.

The Pacers had a great year but if you are factoring in off-season, regular season THEN post-season, I don't really see how they are ahead of us to be honest. If those factors matter, It should be Bulls, Nets, Pacers after Miami but It's not a big deal. Being #3 is just as rewarding.
