Your worst Nets game ever?

Post#1 » by therealbig3 » Fri Dec 6, 2013 4:00 am

We just had an overly optimistic thread asking about our favorite moments as Nets fans...well here's the proper thread.

What is your worst Nets game ever?

I'm picking tonight's loss to the Knicks, easily. What say you?

Tonight. Staying to the bitter end and hearing the Knicks fans acting like the won the championship outside Barclays. Losing by 30 to a 3 win team.

The worst Net game ever was the lottery ball game where we were praying for Anthony Davis to drop into our arms...we lost.... that was my worst Nets game.

Seriously? There was zero chance we were keeping Anthony Davis, he would have been as good as gone to Orlando anyway. Even they wouldn't have been able to say no.

Tonight is up there.

Last year's game 7 too.

Game 7 against Detroit.

One of those three is probably legit the worst.

Last year's loss to Toronto that killed our chance at the 3 seed is up there too.

Also the last game in Jersey is towards the top for me. It was such a horrendous way to leave, yet so, so, fitting.

I was joking but apparently we were something like 1 lotto ball away from Davis and the 1st overall pick out of all those 1000 odd lotto balls, Nets luck

I was the one who made the original "favorite" list. So, it seems only fair that I respond to this thread.

Worst Games? ....just about every game not on the list!

O.K. Seriously, here goes (in rough order):
- any game leading up to and including the playoffs that recovering Mutumbo was under-utilized in favor of Jason Collins
- the game that the little twerp Billy Keller single-handedly led the Pacers over Rick Barry's Nets in the ABA Finals.
- the Bulls elimination game last season as someone mentioned sounds like a good choice

Last nights game? I'll forget it in a year or so in the blur of a very bad start to this season.
