Marshon Brooks makes his long waited return back to Brooklyn. Tune in at 7pm when YES will run highlights of Marshon's best plays as a Net (all happening in the first two weeks of his rookie season). Then watch the game where Brooks will try and help his new team beat his old team from the bench as he posts up his quiet but efficient DNP-CD.

For so many reasons this is a good time to make it two in row...Nets have yet to string two wins together during the regular season.

It will be interesting to see how Jordan 'Better than MJ' Crawford plays against us since we can't defend chairs from making 3s against us.

Just in time for Boston.

I know I'm in the minority but I think Pierce is going to play much better as the season progresses.

Early on in the season, he carried us through several games and was even the catalyst for our 3rd quarter run against MIA. Then the injuries came and his BBIQ seemed to go down as well.

He's got a lot of people doubting him right now and Pierce is one of those guys who is fueled by criticism. I hope he plays tomorrow even if it's for 10-15min.

This game is key. Even more so than the Knick Knacks. Let's hope that the returning players have recovered enough to contribute.

He had a non-displaced fracture. I think it's the 3rd metacarpsal

Remember he was doing shootaround before last game so I assume that he just needs to wear a splint or something. The medical staff probably told him that if he wears a splint, it won't be damaged any further.

Well Pierce returns in 10 minutes when getting taken off the court on a stretcher, so a week from a cast sounds pretty slow.

I feel the opposite. I think his role will be changed and lessened as the season goes on. If he embraces a 6th/7th man role as a scorer off the bench, and that somehow jumpstarts him from a passion/energy standpoint He can help. But so far, His lack of passion and leadership have been extremely lacking outside of an 8 minute stretch vs the heat.

I dont see what he "carried" us to early on. Being the only guy playing decent(and I stress decent as he wasnt exactly going ham) on a 3-5 team getting blown out of the gym nightly did not really impress me. his excuses really have grown tired.

I like him for 20-22 minutes off the bench, just come in, force the issue, score, be vocal, etc. i think thats pierce moving forward. I'm glad he wants to go tonite. maybe this can jumpstart him.

I like kidds comments about working through lopez and playing slow. thats our strength. we dont need to be trying to run up and down the court. Ball movement is great, but not when it means pass it around the outside for 12 seconds before going to an iso.

Get it to lopez or JJ down on the block, let them draw double and run your offense and get your open shots off that. As long as you make sure Lopez isnt settling for touches on the perimeter it should be successful. Dont allow brook to settle for jumpers or face up from 18 feet. those should be relegated to last resorts or secondary offense. post him, if its too far out repost him.

Clearly we lack the ability to penetrate on the wings and from our gaurds consistently. going to the post is the way to go.

This win would put us 2 games back from the 4 seed. We need this.

I've seen a push for 'Pierce coming off the bench' from a lot of posters because it seems redundant to have Pierce and JJ on the floor at the same time.

My main issue with that is that with the exception of a few games, Pierce and JJ don't spend a ton of time on the court together. For example, in the first quarter PP and KG tend to leave between the 8 and 6min mark while JJ goes on to play most of, in not all of, the first quarter. Then JJ comes out and Paul either starts the 2nd or comes a few minutes into the 2nd and JJ will return around the 6min mark of the 2nd quarter.

They mostly play together at the beginning and the end of quarters which is when it would be beneficial if we want to push leads further or go on a run to cut a deficit.

The amount of time that they play together is not even a top 5 cause as to why we're struggling. The issue is being overstated.
