Good Luck Charms Of The Month Sponsored by D-Will logic

Deron Williams on "what happened" vs Toronto:

"I turned it over; didn't have any timeouts. I pretty much saw everybody was covered on the first couple of options. Kind of saw Joe (Johnson) open but just made a bad pass."

Durant is on an unreal streak right now, and remember, we were losing by 16 points before making a huge comeback last time.

Not feeling too good about this game.

The games against Indiana and SA are auto-losses too. We do have a game against the Sixers, which I think we'll win.

I think we'll be 21-26 after the SA game. Still not a bad place to be considering we were 10-21 before New Year's. And after the SA game, we get a stretch of winnable games, before we end the month with a B2B @Portland and @Denver.

It sucks that we dropped the last game the way that we did, but we're still in good shape moving forward.

I feel good about our chance at beating OKC.

I expect Kidd will go for broke to win this one since we are playing in Indy the next night.

Play KG and Pierce big minutes Friday and punt Saturday's game vs the Pacers since we dont match up well with them at full strength anyway.

Play the odds and get the win at home.

Good thing the Nets have Pierce and Mirza playing the 4 to get Ibaka out of the paint.

My strategy would basically be to limit KD and shutdown most everybody else.

Keyword limit. Not contain. The player he is, the run he is on, that is basically impossible.

But limit him to right around an average-ish efficiency 30 with low assists and take most everyone else out of their game and we should have a chance to win this by a slim margin in the 4th.

I know we're playing against the mvp and demanding a win here is unreasonable, but i don't care, i'm still pissed about the game against toronto.

They better win this :banghead:

okc by 40. nets in typical net fashion come out flat after an embarrsing loss and get embarassed even worse.

I'm gonna say we get a win. And it's going to be a nervous completely manic nail biter through the entire 4th where we almost cough up a solid lead with only a few minutes left again.

I still have faith in this club from what they've showed in January. However, I think it's time for Deron to put his big boy pants on, get his butt in the starting lineup again, and play with way more fight and aggressiveness from now until forever. Enough of this passive and deferring BS. It kinda bothers me that he was so que sera sera about not being in the starting group... he should be pissed and fighting for it.

With that said, I'm actually expecting a Johnson/Durant showdown Friday.

After that last debacle I had to step away from this board and all coverage of the Nets because I was completely appalled at the way they pissed away a MUST WIN.

Now after watching Durant play like God last night, you see why I called the Raptors game a must win.

We now face the very serious threat of a three game losing streak that will squander everything right the Nets had done this month.

I'm very nervous for this team heading into this contest, especially now that the gameplan to double team Joe Johnson is showing some legitimate results.

We'd better have an answer for that, because the thunder are not **** ing around.

It will be inexcusable to drop to 21-26

This team really **** the bed. I have ZERO faith in them to even take one of these games after what I saw the other night.
