PG: Same Old Bull
Same Old Same Old.
-Deron plays like he's 39
-Joe disappears and floats with his selfish ISO crap
-Kidd's rotations
-KG stays on the bench when we are in position to tie or take the lead
-Blatche plays like a complete turd on defense
New Personnel, New Lineups, Same Issues inconsistent issues.

Can one of you IT-literate young studs put up a you tube of Paul's 14 points in 9 minutes Q3 or all of the high-lights of his mega-efficient 25 point masterpiece VS Charlotte? And please PM it to me also?
KG will play & will punch Noah in the face at some point.
I feel another W.
DWill will play well again.
Truth will go off again (or Joe will).
Momentum. Feel it, goddamit!
PS - Trade for Asik, Billy!

Get positive, people!!!
Net are going to shock the NBA during these final 32 games.
You are going to see Paul continually go off on O - the mother **** Truth is getting old, but still is freaking lethal when he really brings it. He has not scored 24.626 points in 15 1/2 seasons twiddling his fingers!
You are going to see KG step up D even further.
JKidd was quoted yesterday as saying "they are the glue to this team." He's right. That is why Billy brought them here.
And I have more faith in DWill than some of you guys.
I wish the Nets could incorporate Asik for the POs, dammit.

Biggest game of the season to date. Need to get this W, to go in to the break with momentum. To think at the turn of the near year we could be the 5th seed and only a game under .500 at the break.
These guys need to come out motivated. Paul acknowledged it was a big game in his post game interview. And this is the team that knocked you guys out in the playoffs and embarrassed you on Christmas Day. Time to come out with great energy and really take it to them.

i like the enthusiasm, but you need to understand we know this team, we watched it last year too. i think pierce will continue to play well and KG will do what he is doing. but KG only plays 20 minutes, and we arent going to get consistent play from dwill/jj.
I just wish we would go back to bringing williams off the bench. our defense was what got us on that 9-1 streak, and we just arent as good as a team defensively with williams starting.

agreed. huge game. hopefully we come out strong... usually we dont come out and play well in these types of games - but after the detroit game we followed that up with alot of energy, so hopefully that continues.

LOL, Morey would trade Lin/Asik/1st round pick(s) for Deron in a heartbeat.
It's funny how some fans think the team in real life not doing some mediocre trade signifies the other team(Rockets) have taken it off the table and that we goofed and look at things like a T&T Board poll on a fan forum website as evidence to a players trade value.
"Dwill was voted the 4th worst contract in the league by a bunch of informed and intelligent internet posters with massive bias, it must be true!!"

Give me a break haha.
I doubt Deron is worth a fortune in trade, but to think you can't get 2 average players with their own immense weaknesses of game and a late 1st round pick for him is silly.
There aren't a million destinations for him, but there are still probably 20+ teams who would prefer him to their own starting point guard if we throw salary out of the window and probably 5 to 8 teams who would prefer him period and would give up legitimate positive value for him.
Newsflash, you personally as a fan wanting Williams traded doesn't mean our FO shares your sentiment!

Re: GT: Nets @ Bulls - Feb 13, 8:00PM (TNT)
I'm tentatively optimistic about Deron tonight. Last night, he started playing more assertive, and was going towards the rim more, and was actually looking to get to the line or finish at the rim, and that's a good indicator that maybe he's beginning to realize how he should start playing.
Crossing my fingers, but I think he has a good game. He always seems to take it a little personal against the Bulls too.
And if Deron has a good game, I think we win.

i doubt we would be able to get lin and asik, let alone a first rounder as well. And you cant just "throw salary out the window" since thats the main reasons teams wouldnt want him. 4 years/80 million and possibly chronic ankle injuries. im not sure many(any) teams are willing to take that on AND give up expirings/picks. sure maybe some team with a similar bad contract deals their problem for ours. but thats not really a good solution for us.
asik and lin are average. but so is deron williams. and he is paid more and cant stay healthy. if we can make that deal and dont then that is another huge mistake by king. Dwill wont get by on name value for much longer, if we dont trade him soon we may be stuck with him. and that would be catastrophic/amare like

Re: GT: Nets @ Bulls - Feb 13, 8:00PM (TNT)
You guys are too hyperbolic and caught up in the emotions of it.
Amar'e like?
I am not a Deron apologist anymore, but he's still a better then average starting point guard, still a top 40 player.
His often bouts with passiveness are infuriating at times and his injury concerns are real and there, but he's still got lift, speed, change of direction, a very good first step, really good handle and all the other stuff, this isn't a guy like Amar'e that's limping around with the vertical ability of cooked spaghetti with a torn meniscus.
I'm down on Deron, baffled really, but if you take the emotion out of it and evaluate him for what he is, he's still a very good player, just one you expect to miss around 10 games a year and not be himself in another dozen.
He isn't this all the time dominant guy he had been in years past and thus he is certainly vastly overpaid, but a lot of players are vastly overpaid.
He's still a solid player to have if you can work around his salary, which this team can, if not simply by default by way of Billy King's incompetence in the overpriced roster he put around Deron. And he's still a player a number of other teams would feel the same about.
I'd ship him out for the right deal, but I'm not angrily shaking my fist while trying to get table scraps for him because he annoys me. That is stupid and grass is greener on the other side stuff. It's amazing some of these guys you want to bring back for him draw fouls at a similar if not worse rate, rely just as much on their J's and aren't nearly the passers or playmakers Deron are. You'd see if they wound up here. I get the dollar to talent and impact side of the coin, but if the rest of the roster puts us firmly over the cap til 2016 anyway, the only viable reason you guys really want to trade him is U Mad.
The funniest is certain of you, especially you Prok, then defend or laud JJ when he's on a 5 times worse vomit inducer of a contract basically because, "It was expected and accepted this is who JJ is, it's not his fault he was offered that contract." It's comical. Deron is still the better player then JJ, the player easier to fit in a team concept, the player who doesn't ball stop without purpose in most moments of the game other then the clutch, when he is admittedly fantastic. JJ is the guy who takes weeks off in between weeks of near dominance, who relies on his jumper like no other. The guy who's been so much worse in the playoffs his entire career. But hey, "JJ is what he is, it's OK, he gets a pass", while Deron is this super villain cause his hairline is higher then an airline and his facial expressions and post game quotes are so snarky and sarcastic!

I think we can both agree JJ and Deron both under preform. But we had much higher expectations for Deron. I think thats the difference.

Re: GT: Nets @ Bulls - Feb 13, 8:00PM (TNT)
Here's the thing...he HASN'T been an above average PG.
And I know Lin is the guy most talked about...sure, if we traded for him, we might find out that Deron was still the better player...and yeah, this team is already capped out so having Deron RIGHT NOW doesn't really matter...but long term? Our goal is to obviously make a big run at free agents in 2016, with Durant headlining that group. Deron can opt in and take up 22 million of our cap that year, which puts a huge dent in our plan. Sure, we had hopes he would opt out and sign for less money, but that seems a lot less likely at this point. That poses a problem.
And again, is he still a solid player? Is he still an above average PG? There are a bunch of PGs I'd take over Deron this year. Honestly evaluate his defense, honestly evaluate how he's playing on offense, honestly evaluate his overall production, and honestly evaluate his durability, and tell me there haven't been 15 or more PGs that have been better than him this year. Sure, his talent level imo, even if he is injured right now, is top 10 PG caliber, but he's not utilizing his talent beyond being a jump shooter. His passiveness is very real, his reluctance to penetrate is very real, and his defensive issues are very real. Objectively, no, he hasn't been a solid player this year. He's been downright mediocre.
