Kidd's ability transcends the game

what's the best thing u can say about kidd? 2nd all-time assists/2nd all-time steals/3rd all-time triple doubles/3rd all-time threes? those are all great. but what really made him special was his uncanny ability to make his teammates better.
why does this matter? because kidd's unique skill crosses over with him in his jump to coach. think about it...the todd maccullochs, the jason collins, the lucious harris', the aaron williams, scalabrine, etc....these guys were borderline nba players and kidd took them to the finals twice. he made them look a lot better than they really were. and that's not even bringing up kmart and RJ....two guys who owe kidd for getting them ridiculous contracts. regardless, i have seen enough with my own eyes to conclude that kidd's magical skill works even as a coach. mirza/blatche/livingston/anderson/plumlee/thornton....everyone of these guys value has skyrocketed from a year ago thanks to kidd. he is making them better. at this rate, he might be the best coach in the league at player development. that's not something you earn through hard work, that's something kidd was born with and it shouldn't be a shock to anyone what he's doing as coach because we all know he was the coach on the floor in his playing days.
i'll say this...and i have followed kidd for two decades...if brooklyn can ever get their hands on a superstar player...kidd will be the x-factor that pushes this team over the top to a title. give him the talent and he will maximize it, star or scrub. his rookie mistakes this season are trivial...please, give me a break. would u rather have a savant with incredible talent who makes a few mistakes, or an average guy who treads water cause he's too scared to be wrong?
this team is in fabulous hands with kidd at the helm. once u have cap room/flexibility, look out. kidd will succeed...count on it.
