Not confident at all for this game, as we were in an OT game tonight. That being said, i rather have a win against a playoff team in a split than against the pelicans, so in this sense i already consider this short road trip a success.

Pelicans are not a good team. We just need to contain Anthony Davis who has been on a tear lately. Hopefully the win tonight gives them a boost for tomorrow. That 4th seed is almost ours

Dream scenario for us would be to have bulls finish 3rd and us and raptors 4/5 I think we can beat them with or without home court. The next round we will most likely see bulls and heat go at it while we face the struggling pacers.

I actually agree, that would be the best scenario. I'll take a look at chicago's schedule.

Ideally, yes, if we can somehow manage to grab the 4 and Toronto falls to 5 while Chi moves to the 3, that benefits us. Chi plays Miami in Round 2 while we would ( if we get past Toronto) end up playing Indy. Atleast as of now, we would avoid Miami until the ECF.

Chicago has a pretty light schedule, imo. After the pacers game tomorrow, they get the struggling blazers, an away and home with the celtics, at atlanta, bucks, @ wash, @ minny, detroit, @ knicks, orlando and @ charlotte.
I see them losing 3 of those games tops, which would put them at 9-3, finishing at 48-34.

i feel like we match up better vs the heat than the pacers. mainly because pacers thrive with their big men and will destroy us inside and would be hard for us to win againts them in a 7 game series. while miami on the other hand i know they turn it up in the playoffs but they are vulnerable and there is no team paul pierce and kevin garnett bring their A+ games againts then againts lebron

Please use punctuation. Trying to read a 5 line runon sentence hurts my eyes.

doesn't matter about match ups. The fact is one team has lebron and the other doesn't. I would take my chances against Roy hibbert the lebron in the playoffs any day of the week.

Would be surprised if we win this one after the gritty effort exerted against Dallas
Maybe D-Will can be bothered to play hard for more than 1 and a half qtrs tonight to take some of the pressure off of Johnson. Maybe Blatche will show up after being bitched last night.
I really hope we can keep the streak going

I'm not sure there's a worse defensive tandem at PG than Brian Roberts and Austin Rivers. Really hope that Deron takes advantage. I'd like to see us run some post stuff for Deron against Roberts - that guy is tiny. He was aggressive in spurts last night - hopefully he brings it more consistently. We're going to need him.
Blatche/Plumlee better come out strong. They were both destroyed by Dalembert. It happens but they should both make it a point to bounce back strong. AD is a tough cover.
Pelicans are on a sneaky good run right now. 6-3 in their last 9. Just beat Miami and ATL. Close games with Memphis and Toronto. Winning on a road 2nd game of a back to back would be impressive. It's what good teams do though.

If we didn't play into overtime last night I would've said this was an easy win. I still think this is a solid possible win for us, as our playing style of the new year, if implemented right, can shut down the pelicans as we shut down everyone else.
The only issue I see on this road trip is the Bobcats on wednesday.
Kidd is really working some **** smart magic with his lineups and I think no one can properly predict our game on the court

Need to continue winning; It's understandable that we may be tired but there's too much momentum right now going on for this team. We just shifted from 10-21 to 37-31, this is a ridiculously good stat. We are quietly showing that we are contenders again. I really believe this team can do it, even without Lopez as our identity formed with him being out. Hopefully a well rested KG makes us better. At this point, I'm warming up to moving up to the 4 spot and hoping Toronto falls to the 5. This is idealistic for the Nets as Miami would not be in our way in the second round. If we beat Miami again and sweep them, it will probably be the story of the season (although regular season records mean nothing come playoff time)

I dont see this as some big game we cant win.... even on a back to back. one of the reasons we stunk in B2B games was because KG didnt play but we have been playing without him and the backup bigs have done their job.
Also, the pelicans arent great. we beat them by 12 last time with Davis having a big game (24/10/3 on 11-18 shooting or something like that)
