Livingston's deal with Warriors will be for three years, with a partial guarantee in final season, league source tells Yahoo.

Paul is next. Don't the Nets have a pick this year? Tank.

We will have the worse pick of us and either Atlanta or Celtics, I forgot which one.

I'm surprised. He could have gotten more years but It was a pleasure having him here. Very happy for him and grateful that he went to the West.

We lost Shaun Livingston! TANKKKKKKKKKKKKK. All hope is lost. How will we ever replace Shaun's MVP like production? There's no way we bounce back from this.

:lol :lol

I like Livingston but he was a flawed player with no 3pt shot and wasn't a true PG or a primary ballhandler. I'm happy he got a big contract, he deserves it.

Good for Livingston, bad for the Nets. Wish him nothing but the best. We should really give a long hard look at signing Thabo. Provides defense, doesn't need touches on offense where we have a number of cooks in the kitchen. Surely he can't handle the ball like Livingston or take advantages of mismatches in the same way, but I feel like he's a solid replacement.

We also need a backup point guard. I don't feel comfortable with Guiterrez and Teague as our backups. I'd pray Nelson would take a vet minimum deal, but I'm not confident. I'd look at Shelvin Mack as well who I think may be a step above vet minimum.

Good for him. He got his money and is on a better team. Now I think we have to try and make Thornton for Jack happen.

Livingston was effectively used more as our shooting guard more than a point guard.

Sefelosha and Hinrich should be looked at as his replacement.

The PG market is deep. We should be fine adding a backup but it isn't a huge priority right now.

Can we offer Nelson the deal we would have given Livingston, the 3 year 10 million? Or would he get more elsewhere?

Thanks for the solid year Livingston, best of luck in GS

What would those 2 guys cost, more than vet min?

agree with this. it was a lock livingston wouldnt be back. while i loved the dude, he is certainly replaceable. would love hinrich or sefelosha... 2 guys who are tough as nails and play hard.

Pierce is the only guy who if we lost him would really make a big impact. every one else who is an FA or might retire would be replaceable/minor loss

The fact that Meeks got more money than Shaun makes the deal for GSW superb...

I wonder if Livingston, Iguodala, Lee and Bogut will be able to play together. That's a lot of non-shooting on the floor. Even if Curry is the other guy on the floor with them. I hope they use Livingston as combo guard and not just a backup PG.

Agreed Pierce is the lynch pin. I hate to see Livingston go, but his production can be made up for more than Pierce's can. I think it's actually a blessing in disguise that Livingston signed this early into free agency. We're not going to be in a position to miss out on Sefelosha or Hinrich because we were waiting for a pipedream decision from SDot to stay. Both those guys are great guys to target with the mmle as a replacement

Would LOVE to get Kirk Hinrich, but Chicago loves him. Dude's been one of my favorite players since he entered the league. Excellent shooter (career 38% from 3), and he's a very smart PG with good court vision and the ability to control the pace of the game, and always makes the right pass. He's still a really solid defender too.

He's actually a lot like Livingston...except he's not as long or as versatile as Livingston on defense, and he can't create his own shot off the dribble like Livingston can on offense, but he's a much better spot up shooter with much better range, so it's a tradeoff. I'd rather have Livingston, but Hinrich would be a damn good replacement.
