This is only part 1 of the assets sent to Celtics in PP/KG trade. How does this make you feel Brooklyn fans?

Nothing big lost, I believe Markel Brown will have better career than James Young. Worth it.

You could be right. In all honesty, I think Boston did extremely well in the trade, perhaps getting one more pick than was fair. People forget that the Cs had to take back Gerald Wallace, or the worst contract in basketball. But the James Young pick looks good to me at the moment.

He won't participate in Summer League. The Celtics re-signed Bradley and plan to pursue Lance Stephenson and Isaiah Thomas. Celtics clearly do not value him that highly as a prospect. Nobody cares.

I don't think that is true. Remember that the Cs are collecting assets to make a run at Love. If that fails, Rondo is probably gone. Either way, the logjam will be cleared out.

Well, everyone here is pretty content with Markel Brown who is less of a project and has already shown to be a ready to contribute prospect. Nobody is sweating a mid first round pick. It's more about the 2016/2018 picks.

I'm not sweating it. Young is really a development project. I dont think he'll be any better then markell brown. its a hom hum piece. maybe the '16 or '18 picks will hurt a bit more. this one was irrelevant

It wasn't a good trade for the Nets, especially when you consider the fact that Garnett and (especially) Pierce have always been overrated... But you're seriously going to brag about... James Young?

I won't completely write him-off since there's an outside shot he can improve upon his worse than Nick Young shot-selection and learn an advanced dribble move or two given his age, but Young is a project who is years away from contributing... The Celtics are best off hiding him from real exposure at this point in the hopes that they can sucker someone into trading for him later.

I have no clue why Celtics fans overhype every prospect their team gets, from claiming that Gerald Green was the next T-Mac to pumping up Average Bradley as some sort of legit two-way dynamo the ridiculousness of Celtics fans never ceases to amaze me...
