its casper ware... and its really irrelevant as they traded for him since he is ungauranteed and can simply be cut without costing us anything, where as teague would cost over a million to cut.

Also, props to king and the nets.... they put pride aside and got rid of teague instead of gutierez, essential admitting teague was a failure of a move. many will be stubborn to do that kind of thing

Thank god Teague is gone. Honestly we probably could cut ties with Gutierez too but oh well. At least he's better than Teague.

The GB is unreal.

They're right first Taylor (didn't BK give up a pick to get Teague?) Teague sucks..on a big contract too  so he trades him and a 2019 pick....good lord this guy loves trading draft picks.
So...what's the plan? Kidd, Blatche and Pierce were right this team is all about branding not about basketball. :banghead:

1. We traded cash for Teague. Not a draft pick.

2. It's a 2019 worthless second round pick owned by Milwaukee. Why is this even a discussion?

3. We remove a terrible basketball player from our payroll and open a roster spot for a significantly better addition.

I get Teague shouldn't have been acquired in the first place but complaining about getting rid of him now? Seriously?

What in the world are you talking about?

are you really worried about a 2019 second rounder? teague saves us 1.1M in salary. you can buy a second round pick for less then that (as we did this year), so the pick isnt of conseqeunce. we save almost 6 million when you include the repeater tax.

teagues sucks and would have been cut, roster wise nothing changes.

basically, we sold a second rounder 5 years in the future for 6 million dollars.

read that a few times and tell me again how this is some bad move.

Ok didn't rememeber how they got him that softens the blow.

2019 that's 5 years from now..I'd like to see how the team's picks stack up we don't have as many picks as they should nor a good team imo.
Because of that mentality "meaningless, worthless draft picks" the team has no short term ability to get better...How can you expect to get talent to get better if the team's over the salary cap and they don't have draft picks?

The draft pick is meaningless. it isnt like its a first rounder... its a second rounder. you can buy second rounders every year. hell, we bought THREE second round picks in this past draft alone. The draft pick is beyond meaningless.... if anything its a smart move.

teague savings 1.1M (6M if you count repeated tax)
Average price to buy a second round pick the past 5 seasons (755,000)

We basically freed a roster spot and sold a second round pick for well above its value.

AS far as the future and "how can you expect to get better if the team is over the salary cap and doesnt have picks" that kind of shots a lack of understand of our situation. We will be somewhere between 35 and 45 million under the cap after next season. and we have picks in 2015 and 2017. We also added a 2012 first rounder to the roster(karasev) and a euro rookie(bogs). We also ahve the ability to get under the tax next year, which would gain us the full MLE.

you're reading too many tabloids

We own our second round pick in 2019. Most second round picks can easily be bought. Billy bought three second round picks this summer for 2.5 million.

We just exercised options on the 2013 19th and 22nd first round picks. We have 2015, 2017, 2019 draft picks. Everything else in between can be bought or traded for.

The pick we just traded came from Milwaukee via Sacramento. It's meaningless pick unless the Bucks and Kings continue to suck for another five years.

All signs are nets are going to wave Ware.

So Gutz can takes Teague's spot as 3rd point guard and Cory Jefferson and Jerome Jordan make the team.
They waived Willie Reed. OK rant over

After getting suspended for putting a few jackasses in their place I know better than to even look at that board.

Good trade by King, I'd rather keep Gutz than that bum. Teague stinks

Thankfully he's traded. Bad move in hindsight, doubt he develops for awhile, if at all.

teague is awful, worth dumping a second rounder, only first rounders have value today really worth complaining about losing,

keep gutz as 3rd string, decent 3rd string, teague was atrocious
