Who: Brooklyn Nets @ Phoenix Suns

When: Wednesday, November 12, 7:00pm, FSNAZ

Where: US Airways Center, Phoenix, AZ

Brooklyn Nets starting lineup:

C- Lopez
F- Garnett
F- Johnson
G- Bogdanovic
G- Williams

Reserves: Teletovic/Jack/Plumlee/Anderson

Phoenix Suns starting lineup:

C- Plumlee
F- Morris
F- Morris
G- Dragic
G- Bledsoe

Reserves: Thomas/Green/Tucker/Len/Tolliver

Nets had an advantage in the frontcourt and with Joe Cool last year. Phoenix gets up and down so hope the game plan is to take it to the hoop; long shots, lead to long rebounds, lead to fast breaks. Go Nets!

Forgot to post the game starts at 9:00 pre game at 8:30 on YES.

I'm interested to see how Brook Lopez plays against Miles Plumlee. And also how Mase plays against their frontcourt.

PHX backcourt of Bledsoe and Dragic could run circles around Deron and Bogdanovic. This is a game where Kirelenko could make an impact if he gets playing time.

These are the types of games where Brook dominates. The Suns just don't have any centers that can contain him. I think he thoroughly dominates throughout - drawing a bunch of fouls on Miles and Len.

Bledsoe and Deron is an interesting matchup. In the past, he's had trouble with elite athletes at the point. Bledsoe is no John Wall in terms of BBIQ and smarts when it comes to getting in the paint but he's a beast athletically. Deron and Brook/KG are going to have their hands full dealing with him on the PNR. I want to see the same Deron we've seen for the first 6 games. He doesn't have to shoot 60% from the field or anything but he needs that same hop in his step. That same aggression going to the rim. Would like to see him post up a couple of times. Bledsoe, Thomas or Dragic shouldn't be able to slow Deron down.

Very interested in how we respond after JJ's comments. Will we noticeably move the ball more? I think this is a game we should win. I don't care about their speed or their pace. I think we're overall a better team. Also interested in seeing how Hollins manages the minutes on the first night of a back to back. KG and Lopez are the obvious guys who should play less. Deron's played heavy minutes though. Will he play less?

If Jarrett Jack stops playing like an idiot, we could actually afford to keep Deron under 40 mpg.

IMO, that's the biggest threat to our players' health. Not them necessarily being injury-prone...it's that their backups suck, and we have to play our best players monstrous minutes. That's going to take a toll on them. Deron is going to get injured again if he has to keep playing close to 40 mpg.

nets should start teletovic and put joe at the 2. there is 0 chance dragic or bledsoe can gaurd him

i dont think joes comments meant ball movement... i think it meant overall selfishness and not giving a 100% effort. he even clarified that its both ends.

4-2 is really a fools gold type record. we'd be 2-4 if we played decent teams. other then 1 or 2 games we have had poor effort and crap defense with way too many early offense long jumpers. we just arent playing the type of basketball we need to in order to beat good teams on the road... and we are about to start playing good teams on the road.

i dont think we can be portland. they are better team and this year they are playing excellent defense. i think we lose that one by like 20.

the warriors are a bad matchup, we can beat them but we need a max effort.

suns will all depend on how this team responds to adversity.. in the past thats been poorly. we will see tonite. hopefully some guys play with some pride. im looking for bogs and anderson and joe to lead the way. those guys seem to play hard for us.

I think even with joe's comments people arent realizing how bad we have played. it really is beyond isnane we arent 5-1 or 6-0.

We have played 4 home games, and the combined record of our 6 opponents is 13-28 and those teams have combined to beat only 4 teams over .500 (and 2 of those are against us). if we played the celtics schedule we might be 0-6

I think that could work but Brook needs touches in the post that's where their advantage is.
What I'm concerned about is our guards containing them. 6'3 and 6'8 guarding two quick point guards.

our advantage over them is that they have no one who can gaurd joe johnson inside. Lopez can score inside, but they can double and take that away. there if they double joe he will hurt them with the pass. plus, their advantage with bledsoe is nuetrailized by making johnson the SG as it puts either dragic of bledsoe on joe.

lopez has ONE assist on the year. and i think teams know they can double him and not get burned.

If JJ can't make the easy shots and gives up a key turnover or gets into foul trouble early, I'd rather he not approach the media and call out his teammates when he has to in practice or in the locker room instead.

no one shoots 100% or has 0 turnovers on the season. those are physical errors. EFFORT is something that can be controlled. SELFISH play and SHOT SELECTION are things that can be controlled. those are the issues, not guys missing or a few turnovers.

pointing to joe johnsons turnover vs the wolves while not mentioning he scored 8 or 10 points down the stretch to get us back in, tie, and give us a lead is just a weak move. ESPECIALLY since more often then not he gets in done in those key moments, maybe more so then anyone in basketball right now.

You could argue Orlando, the game that sent him over the edge, WAS on JJ along with Brook's horrible defense on Vucevic. If JJ was more efficient that night, the game wouldn't have been close.

JJ wants to call out the team in public and he wants to be the leader? The eyes on him only get wider. Effort for JJ isn't enough from him anymore if he wants to be more on this team.
