I'd try Markel out on Mo Williams.

It will be interesting to see how the Johnson/Zeller matchup turns out

I know he won't do it yet, but more and more I am loving what Thad brings to this team and I'm excited for him to start :)

great win last night, really could use some wins like the ones over the Mavs and Warriors to put us in a winning mood

the line up should be Williams/Brown/Johnson/Young/Plumlee

why in god's name are we putting Johnson on Zeller. Zeller is 7 feet tall. At least get young out there who is athletic and long enough to play him. Johnson should be match up on MKG and physically abusing him

Honestly, now Hollins is starting to piss me off.

I hate that they have mo williams. im terrified of that dude and he ALWAYS kills us regardless of who he plays for. he has really helped them with kemba out. Also hope lance doesnt play pissed off that king wouldnt take him on and go HAM on us.

This is by far our biggest game of the season. not only in the standings but if we dont have the tiebreaker over them its like them gaining 2 games on us instead of 1.

not superconfident in us winning unless joe or brook go off or something. this team has no spine and this will be like a playoff game

They should be able to abuse Zeller in every matchup on offense, but I hate the small lineup.

Brown should guard Mo who is extremely hot right now. Love the kids defense and he is starting to gain confidence, cant ask for a better time.

you are selling zeller short, he is a good athelte and solid defender vs mobile 4's. he struggles more with bigger bullies like west or pau.

We need to win the matchup at gaurd. fi we dont, we lose.

I agree, this is a big game for us... as of now it's as playoff focused of a game as it gets. this could be the key to us locking in a playoff seeding

Markel's defense has been truly incredible so far.

Harden: 1-4 (forced into 3 turnovers)
Barea: 1-6
Thompson: 2-6
Curry: 1-3

really earning that starting spot, I don't want to get ahead of myself but he seems like the most legit project on this team. He has all the building blocks of a legit player, he stays squared when he shoots, he's VERY athletic, very ballsy on defense, has hops. It will take some time but I think he can be built up into a something, a la Tony Allen type player

He's earned the spot to me, what he brings to the floor can't be taught. He realizes his niche right now is defense and athleticism.

Get him in the gym in the offseason to focus on developing that jumpshot and his ball handle and he'll be good to go. His defense is NOT a fluke. He can defend both backcourt positions. That is a coup for us.

This was his draft scouting report:

Prospect Snapshot:

It’s a testament to the talent of this draft class that DraftExpress has Brown going 54th in its most recent mock draft. With the highest standing vertical (36.5”) and 2nd highest max vertical jump (43.5”) at the scouting combine and a 6-8 wingspan, his physical profile is basically Russell Westbrook -- nearly identical height, weight and wingpsan, only Brown's max vertical jump is about nine inches better.

The one knock on him is that he’s not a “pure point guard”, but he had little opportunity to develop pro-style principles played alongside projected lottery pick Marcus Smart in Oklahoma State’s undersized, isolation-heavy offense for two seasons. Already obscured by Smart, the team’s struggles in the second half of last season may have distorted the necessary information about Brown: he’s an elite athlete who can create his own shot and knock down the three (37 percent last two seasons), defend both guard positions and rebound for his size (5.3 per game last season).

According to DraftExpress.com, his 1.382 points per shot in finishing situations at the rim last season were the best among all shooting guards in the top 100 prospects and he also ranks among the most efficient pick-and-roll scorers in the group. Jonathan Tjarks suggested a Patrick Beverley comparison for the 22-year-old, four-year player. Brown’s combination of length (6-9 wingspan) and skills would certainly suggest he could thrive in the right situation.

Perhaps because of his age, he’s projected to be drafted 54th, which means it’s possible he could even go undrafted. In either case, he’d be a really intriguing sleeper for the team that nabs him.

Yep. It's not like he's useless on offense. He's confident with the ball in his hands too. He drew that 4th foul on Curry. He attacks. I bet you that 3pt shot starts falling at a solid rate by the time the season ends.

I don't know - maybe I'm wrong - but **** Cody Zeller. That's the last dude I'm worried about when we go small. If their offense is Zeller in the post against Johnson - I'll take that 10/10 times. I honestly can't think of someone or something that scares me less than Zeller. Going up against Zeller makes me want to go small even more.

If he's going to do his damage on the glass - I can accept that. Thad Young isn't much better at rebounding than Johnson is TBH.

If Zeller kills us in the post, I'll eat my words. But it's not like we're facing Greg Monroe or ZBo.

The team should be feeling pretty good about that gritty win last night . Hopefully they stay on course proceeding to a nice run. Start with the Hornets.

The only three point threat in that starting five is Mo Williams. Markel should be placed on him.

Good thing we are starting Joe Johnson and not a mobile 4
