that miami win tonite really puts pressure on us. would be unreal if we could find a way to steal this game. we need someone to get white hot from 3 or have a career game.

Yeah with that win, we need to go 110% for every game left, we don't have room to let this be a throw game like the last one.

The only way we don't make the playoffs at this point is if the Celtics go crazy. And they have to play Cleveland twice and Toronto once. Even if Miami goes undefeated the rest of the way and we only win one more game against the Magic, we will still make it.

2 obvious keys:

1. Figure out how to stop ATL. They've been nuclear against us the last 2 times. Making every 3 (often open, in rhythm) and getting dunks/easy buckets. We can't just hope 38% 3PT shooters are gonna miss. Against ATL, you have to be SHARP on defense. They do stuff that forces you to make tough decisions on the fly. Anytime Korver comes off a Millsap screen - bad things happen. We need to clean that up. Switch everything or defend on a string.

2. Figure out how to attack their PNR defense. They probably played the most aggressive PNR D that I've seen since the LBJ era Miami squads. We were totally flustered. I'm not sure if they normally do that but jesus.

ATL played their starters last night for half a game, will they come out firing after traveling to Brooklyn on second night of back-to-back? I would figure they rest atleast one starter and miss Millsap.

I think you're off a bit. We're two up on Miami in the loss column and they hold the tie breaker meaning if they go undefeated the rest of the way we can drop just one game.

Cleveland clinches the 2nd seed with a win over the Bucks tonight. They could very well be resting guys against the Celtics as they have nothing to play for. If they go 3-2 to finish the year than we too must go to 3-2.

Looking at both the Heat and the Celtics I think we need to go 3-2. That means if we lose here tonight we'd have to go 3-1 the rest of the way. If we win tonight then we can likely go 2-2 the rest of the way. This game is huge

Thabo Sefolsha and Pero Antic were arrested at 4:00am for refusing to move as Copeland was stabbed last night. I highly doubt they play tonight.

So look like they will be without Antic, Sefolsha, and Millsap.

Is Anderson back yet?

If I were Hollins and had a healthy roster... I would start to consider moving Anderson back into the starting lineup and put JJ in as 6th man and play with the second unit.

Milsap is out due to injury and he wont play.

they will absolutely play their starters the full game ANd go balls ot the walls like its a game 7. their coach even came out and acknowledged that the pick swap is a big deal and they want us to miss out.

for us to win, we will need to play like its a game 7, get lucky, and have someone go off. i think people look at the hawks, dont see a true superstar top 8 player and slight them. they are so far and away better then we are, in basically every aspect.

Yes, I feel bad for Copeland - always seemed like a good guy based on what I gathered from his time here in NY. Seems like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and it was some lunatic responsible for this.
