For what it's worth Synergy rates Markel as 468th best defender in the league. Of the Nets only Karasev has worse rating.

I think key is making Wall beat us with his scoring and staying home on thier spot up guys.

which is why defensive stats for individuals are completely unreliably both individually and as a whole

We need to keep Wall out of the paint.

Beal is still their second best scorer and Markel is still our best perimeter defender right now. The Wizards are an inconsistent scoring team so letting Wall scores requires keeping Beal quiet.

Deron needs to be a factor and Wall work on both ends.

There's still Gortat and Nene to worry about... unfortunately, we have unreliable frontcourt defense personnel...

Earlier in the year, yes... but under our new swing as of late, Lopez and Thad have done a pretty good job defensively handling bigs. Obviously they're not elite, but Thad can be pesky and fast and Brook has learned that boxing out is important

I think its the combo of the 2nd unit, hollins' lineup with joe at 4 and Brook's goof vs atl that burns my brain cells...

This is what I expect from Brook tonight! I won't accept anything less

Surprised they would rather rest Wall instead of Pierce, Nene or Gortat but hey, I'm not complaining lol

We cannot lose this game. Hopefully the knicks can beat the bucks lol

Got to say, we are definite beneficiaries of certain players being rested or hurt down this stretch....
