If we were going to win the series we had to steal one of those close games. Given how schizophrenic our offense is, our propensity for defensive breakdowns and how razor sharp the Hawks CAN be, you'd expect 2-3 blow outs in this series IF it went to 7 games.

That said I expect it to be close given what we've seen so far. I'd be shocked if the Nets got swept.

Nets need to protect home. They played their asses off in two road games. No excuses here. The Hawks can be beaten, but of course, it all depends on who bothers to earn their pay.

You know who I'm talking about.

Funny I git banned from Netsdaily for posting the same thing Pierce said about Dwill. He is clearly one of the least liked pg's in the league cause NBA players dont like cowards. I said there were at least 30 other pg's in this league nba players would choose over Dwill and I got banned.

Anyway I am hopeful that the FO sees how abysmal and how huge a shrinking violet Dwill is. He is an embarrassment to the Nets name and colors. He is perpetuating the meme that the Nets are a team that continually comes up short. What FA wants to be tied into that?
I fully expect Lopez to opt out, he is realizing how much better he could be if surrounded by better players. Dont know where he ends up but I dont blame him for leaving.

Plumlee has been horrible as well and has shown no signs of improving his game, move him for a 2nd rnd pick, Jordan is the better option at backup C.

Do not resign Mirza, he doesnt have a posistion in this league imo and if his shot isnt falling he may get you a couple rebounds but I wouldnt tie up any major money with him, if he wants vet minimum then fine.

Joe is going to be totally washed next season. Too many minutes on his body, hopefully they can move him, if not prepare for sluggish disinterested Joe.

Bojan, not a starter in the NBA yet, he is consistently inconsistent. I rather Brown or AA start and he continue off the bench.

Most of all this team needs a starting quality pitbull at pg that pushes the ball and probes the defense, Conley wants to come here but will be in his 30's by that time and we cant take that chance on age anymore.

*******

Nets may win a game or 2 in this series but fans like myself have to go another season knowing with a better starting pg this was a very winnable series. Thats what kills me. We havent even played well and could have won these games.

every net players is the greatest of all time at there position. if you dont feel that way you cant be a part of that forum. nets will likely never lose again according to them and when they do its the refs or the coach.

I fully expect Lopez to opt out, he is realizing how much better he could be if surrounded by better players. Dont know where he ends up but I dont blame him for leaving.

I hope he opts in so we can trade him and not lose him for nothing, but we are better off with him walking vs extending him on a big deal. put out the last 8 weeks and look back. for 4 months of this season he was disappointing, the year before out for the year, the year before he had an all star year that ended with disappointing playoffs, the year before out for the season. thats not what you want to hitch your wagon too. not with so many top big son the market (dwight, gasol, hordford, noah as well as david if he takes the QO and maybe even cousins if he wants out).

Plumlee has been horrible as well and has shown no signs of improving his game, move him for a 2nd rnd pick, Jordan is the better option at backup C.

What good does that do? dumping a player who costs nothing for a 2nd rounder is just a terrible move. we buy 2-3 every year. im 100% int o deal plumlee if it can get us a first or a younger player. but trading him for a 2nd because you think he sucks is just bad business and doesnt help us
Do not resign Mirza, he doesnt have a posistion in this league imo and if his shot isnt falling he may get you a couple rebounds but I wouldnt tie up any major money with him, if he wants vet minimum then fine.

Mirza coming back depends on Thad and Brook. if they both opt out, then signing mirza makes sense because we would be under the tax. if they dont opt out mirza cant be brought back and us still get under the tax
Joe is going to be totally washed next season. Too many minutes on his body, hopefully they can move him, if not prepare for sluggish disinterested Joe.

i dont see the reasoning behind trading joe. LET THAT MONEY EXPIRE. i see no benefit in moving him unless we get back expirings for him.
Bojan, not a starter in the NBA yet, he is consistently inconsistent. I rather Brown or AA start and he continue off the bench.

he is a first year rookie from another country. his second half has been very solid. i wouldnt write him off and he is cheap
Most of all this team needs a starting quality pitbull at pg that pushes the ball and probes the defense, Conley wants to come here but will be in his 30's by that time and we cant take that chance on age anymore.

The Bucks and Pelicans played so well in their home openers that you can't help but think Brooklyn SHOULD do the same....

the results didn't favor them as both went to OT but come on NETs... keep pushing yourselves... if we lose gm 3, I expect to quit in gm 4 TBH.

If we lose tomorrow I will bet anything that we lose game 4 by more than 25 pts.

well D-will is getting worse with each game and i'm not sure jack can match that performance. if that trend continues we probably catch that 25 point loss tomorrow

According to Rod Boone, Thaddeus apologized to his teammates for his performance in Game 2.

It's truly sad Thad makes 10 million less than Deron but he is the only one out of the two who took the bad performance seriously.

Now that's an honest player. DWill would never do such a thing.

I bet if he says anything along those lines it's simply because Thad said this.

This is a man I can respect

According to NBATV, Nets are 10-2 when Brook takes 20 shots or more.

The argument could also be made that the Hawks haven't played well either and yet they're still up 2-0.

It would be cool to win at least 1 game in this series and I'm sure it can be done but there always seems to be an excuse with this team.
