Atlanta is reeling. A decisive win on their home floor will all but finish them.

http://www.sbnation.com/2015/4/28/8506427/hawks-nets-breakdown-nba-playoffs-2015-series-tiedGreat article about what we're doing right both on defense and on offense. Very well written and sums it up better than I can. It shows how we've really learned to bite on the right plays and relax on others. I hope we can keep this upward trend we've been having. If you look at how the games have gone; in game 1 it was well fought but a first quarter flounder kept us down, game 2 we almost had a win or could send it to OT... kept it VERY close but couldnt close out, game 3 we kept pace for most of the game and kept pushing a lead, now in game 4 we matched in pace but kept getting key stops and kept making plays.
I think when you look at the big picture two things stand out;
the Nets are on the right path... defensively and offensively, we're learning how to deal with the Hawks
for the Hawks, we're finding the holes in their offense and defense, they looked strong in game 1 but since then have been having to play UP to us... which is odd
Not saying we're gunna win this series, but I feel VERY different about things now vs. before the series began. They're going to come out HARD in game 5, ready to make a HUGE statement and we need to be ready to do the same

Want this series badly, it will be a makeup for a terrible regular season. Then we get to shut Pierce mouth, seems destined.
They have to address the Plumlee issue though, he cant be on the floor at this point. Jordan isnt mobile enough to cover the 3 pt line but you may have to just try him.

I know ATL is feeling the pressure now. 2-2. They don't want to come back to BK down 3-2. I don't think they have the makeup of a team that's going to use the pressure as fuel. I think they fold. They had their best offensive game of the series, crushed us on the boards and we still beat them.
We've hung with them every step of the way. A big Joe Johnson game would be huge right now. He hasn't had a really good game in a long time. He's missed a lot of wide open 3s and semi-open floaters inside. Crowds going to be booing him. Now would be a great time for him to turn back the clock and look like he did vs. Toronto last year.

I've said this all series. make the hawks prove they can win their 1 on 1 matches. switch on EVERYTHING. that pretty much eliminates their three point game and forces them to create offense as individuals instead of a team. Take your chances with teage vs lopez 1 on 1 instead of taking your chances on carrolle for an open 3. take your chances with bogs on horford instead of milsap getting an open dunk.
last night we got in trouble in the 3rd when we decided we wanted to get cute and start trapping the pick and roll. our lead diminished. keep switching until they force us not to

i think the solution is thad at the 5 for 10 minutes. its really not a problem when they have milsap or antic at center

I thought ATL would have bring it last game since local media reported they were mad at Game 3. I was surprised BK was outrebounded one of the biggest complaints about the Hawks, lack of rebounds.
Yeah crazy how Joe hasn't had a big game yet. If Deron can do it, Joe can do it. It's going to be interesting if Hollins got something in place if Bud gives Millsap more touches to take advantage of the size advantage he has against Young.

Really feel that this game is very very pivotal. We steal one in Atlanta and we have the chance to close it out at home. They get game 5 and we look to push to game 7.
I think splitting the series was HUGE and we've really shown that were gaining momentum... Which I can't say for the Hawks.
I genuinely think if we win this game, we win the series

ABC knows damn well the Nets vs. Hawks is the best series of the first round. Very competitive games and an 8th seed that is bringing one hell of a fight to the conference's top team.
I heard this morning that we are 9 point DOGS?? Wow. Vegas must expect the Nets to **** their pants tonight, all of the pressure is on Atlanta.
I agree with Prok. Switch on everything, make ATL beat you with contested twos and take away the three. Bojan and Anderson need to make Korver's life hell
Deron HAS to play aggressive again. We dont necessarily need a 30+ pt outburst but we need him to attack and be a presence out there so that the 1-5 pick and roll can be used efficiently.
Plenty of Lopez. PLEASE.
And this is a game where we need Bojan to not play like garbage on the road. We need Bo-YAN to bring it man. The Nets can do it, this wont be easy but they can beat them on their home floor.

Game 5, IMO, will control the series. I think I read a graphic last night that the winner of gm 5 wins the series at 82% or something close to it...
If we lose, I want it to be competitively. No gimmie's.... the NETs, to their hard work, gave nothing away or were pushovers through this point.
KEEP IT UP!

Is this a game thread? I couldn't get pass the bikini part of the thread.
As for the game.. I would love to see the same effort as game 4. If they can duplicate that effort I like their chances to at least keep it close.

Disagree. I don't think they fold. These guys are scrappers. They fought till the very end in Game 4. They'll be at home in Game 5. We need to outplay them and most of all, out WORK them.

.
9 points isn't super surprising. they beat us by an average of 6 points in the 2 home games. then you usually add .5 to 1.5 for being at home. so say 8.5 points.
then you have to factor in the money. vegas lines aren't about a prediction, they are about balancing the money on each side. money likely heavy on Atlanta at home so they raise that line to get more people putting money on the nets
