well, there really arent any elite playoff centers i mean...
Mozgov, Bogut, Both Lopez brothers, Horford, Gortat, JV, olynick, chandler, asik are all easily not elite top 10 players. noah and dwight after injury ridden seasons dont belong either. Duncan isnt on that level anymore.
basically you are left with Gasol and Deandre. I dont think either are top 10, but gasol should make the top 15.
Don't let the accolades that the wings and guards usually get overshadow the fact that that the truly elite centers are the best two way players in the game.
Marc Gasol is the best center in the NBA. He is the most accomplished and anchors one of the best teams in the league- Grizzlies tied San Antonio for 4th most wins in the NBA with 55 this season.
DMC - Over the last 20 years, only five players -- David Robinson, Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Kevin Love -- have averaged at least 23.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in a season
Deandre Jordan - In February, Jordan averaged 16.0 points and 17.2 rebounds, one of only three players since 1985-86 to average 16 and 17 in a month (Detroit's Andre Drummond did it last April and former Atlanta big man Kevin Willis did it in December 1991 and February 1992). Four of Jordan's games in February saw him get at least 20 points and 19 rebounds, tied for second-most in the last 30 years (Shaquille O'Neal had five such games in a month, twice).
Gasol, DMC, Deandre are all top 15 players, and Gasol and DMC are definitely top 10. And with these guys putting up some HOF numbers, I'm gonna have to see some more from the other guys to convince me otherwise
