Watching the Nets

How does everyone here watch games?

I've always had Cable and caught games on YES. I'm moving in with a new roommate today whose on a tight budget. He only wants to pay for basic cable.
I believe league pass isn't an option here as it would be blacked out - living in Manhattan.

So really my options are pay more for cable or get ballstreams. Does anyone use ballstreams? Seems like an illegal, but quality service. Would love to hear some reviews plus maybe get an invite.

We'll seeing as i live in Europe i rarely watch live games. I just find a replay. But that works fine because i can skip all the breaks and commercials.

Living out of state, I feel your pain. I've had to suffer through paying for comcast and their high prices just to have access to league pass and paying a ton for that.

last year i switched to the online league pass and ditched comcast. for me since im in boston, its not blacked out.

This year i found a new solution, i bought a slingbox and installed it at my dads house (in NJ). its connected to their TV in the basement and i stream the nets games that way. if you know someone who has cable and is willing to let you install a slingbox there its a pretty good solution and 1 time cost for just the slingbox.

never tried ballstreams, ive heard they are good. i wouldnt rely on other streams like frontrowsports, they suck and basically give your computer aids. lol. good luck.

One important thing on this... if you live OUTSIDE the NY/NJ area and get the YES network through verizon, the games will NOT be broadcast, instead they will show you a replay of the mike francessa show.

yes only broadcasts the games on the YES local broadcast. you can NOT watch the nets games on the YES national broadcast, whcih i learned the hardway here in boston

Halftime thoughts:

- Larkin so far has outplayed Jack. He's got 4 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds. Jack has 0 assists.

- Robinson is going to be a favorite. He's an athletic Reggie Evans without the dumbass mental errors. He's got 10 rebounds at Halftime. He started over Thaddeus.

- Ellington has a beautiful shot. He hasn't missed so far.

-Brook looks good and he made a right wing three pointer.

The defense as a whole needs work but the offensive movement looks solid and they are actually playing hard. Robinson nearly killed himself on a chase down block.
