The NBA season begins tonight.
Whenever you get upset with the Nets, you can always come here to talk about other teams or the league in general. I expect much discussion here since there's probably not a great deal of things to look forward to for the Nets this season lol.
Here is the schedule for Opening Night:
Detroit @ Atlanta 8:00 pm
Cleveland @ Chicago 8:00 pm (TNT)
New Orleans @ Golden State 10:30pm (TNT)

its the annual NBA knee-jerk day
detroit win: atlanta is done. they let their glue guy go in carroll. they are going to collapse. teague or schroeder needs to go. Detroitis a 45 win team this year at a minimum. SVG has turned them around.
Atlanta win: spurs system in weak east = another 60 win season. detroit is trash. Drummond isnt developing and Rjax got paid and is going to chuuuuuck this year
Cleveland win: Lebron GOAT, finals, weak east, if healthy they easily win the title. Bulls are done. rose is done, noah is done, no thibs, lolz at the bulls
Bulls win: rose is back! MVP! last time rose was healthy we were a 1 seed! best team since jordans bulls. LOL @ lebron post-steroid era. that team sucks. thompson robbed them! might miss playoffs!
GS win: GOAT team ever better then 01 lakers + 96 bulls combined
NO win: Brow is for real and the MVP this year, with healthy they are a top 2 seed out west. lol at GS fans thinking that team is elite, got luckyl last year

The Bulls are a totally different team. The arent going to dominate the glass and defense like in years past. They look a lot more finesse.

they are differenet but they are still a high effort team that is going to score more then in the past. smaller but more versatile. if they play like they did last night we will have our hands full.
key to beating them is to force rose into playing hero ball and taking away his easy buckets.

Anthony Davis had a really bad shooting night, but it also didn't help that Ish Smith was trying to run with the Warriors. I also didn't understand why Davis was getting the rock at the top of the 3-point line, trying to take Green off the dribble. He has decent ballhandling skills for a big man and can hit the occasional 3/mid-range jumper, but it was hard to watch last night. Almost like it was his first game as an NBA player.
Mirotic looked solid last night. You can definitely see how different this Bulls team is with Thibodeau gone. Like Net Sentence said, they look more finesse, but not as intimidating defensively. I also wonder how long Hoiberg will go with bringing Noah off the bench. Nice to see Snell and McDermott get minutes last night.

reggie jackson and KCP looked great. would have been great if we found a way to get RJax last year without moving brook.
Schroeder was fantastic for atlanta. if by some act of god we could get him or teague id be extatic

Yeah man I'd sell the farm for Schroder. That kid is a legit baller.
Not that we have much of a farm.

losing carroll was a big loss to hawks cause they have no one close to what he did, schroeder ends up with sixers, jazz, nets, ?

We don't have the assets to trade for Schroder. They'd most likely want RHJ in any deal involving us.

The Bleacher Report's video includes Durant's 3 which occurs just before Oladipo's first 3:

Gerald green was arrested at the marquis building downtown and taken to the hospital. Sources say he got into an altercation and was tasered.
MIAMI -- Gerald Green of the Miami Heat was hospitalized Wednesday for unknown reasons and will not accompany the team for its trip to Minnesota for a game there Thursday.
TMZ reported that multiple witnesses said Green was acting strange in the lobby of the condo where he was staying. The report said Green was screaming at the top of his lungs and that it took several people, including emergency personnel, to restrain Green and get him on a stretcher and into an ambulance.

I was always big on Jeremy Lamb here. Was adamant about him being included in any OKC deal; was pissed when the Hornets acquired him for practically nothing in a salary dump.
Had posts that I thought he would be a better player than Bogdanovic - had a better PER and higher TS% at the time of the trade deadline.
Here are his numbers so far this year - I know a small sample size, but these are eye popping numbers:
14 ppg on 69.2 TS%, 30.2 PER
And yet in the deal that King signed off on to trade Brook to OKC he wasn't included. OKC clearly didn't value him, they could've acquire him if they wanted, yet King didn't want him.
We're never going to be successful with King running the show.

VC4P loved the dude back when he was still on college. He got a number of us to really like Lamb and so we all share the same sentiments. Most of us wanted King to find a way to get Lamb when his value was dirt cheap.
We had a chance to get him in the failed JJ for Lance deal as well but King was up to his usual antics.

"Any time you can hit the last couple and kind of close out the game and put it out of reach, it makes you feel good," said Williams, who finished with a team-high 19 points. "I don’t like to talk about my time in Brooklyn, but a lot of times I was in the corner waiting and watching, so it felt good to just have the ball at the end of the game and be able to make a play."
Hold up, who remembers the series vs. Toronto, the series vs. Atlanta, the series vs. Chicago etc etc etc etc etc
He literally RAN from the ball vs. the Heat. RAN!! dude is a legit scumbag

That's some pretty unhealthy level of obsession there. Trying to be humorous but it really isn't. Can't Celtics fans just be content that they'll end up with a lotto pick from Brooklyn without feeling the need to go overboard?
