Been browsing the clutchfans.net forum. A known insider there created this thread:
Sources: Rockets discussing Lawson for J Jack + Bogdanovic. Probably add T-Jones as well. Nothing is done yet, but both teams are talking to several teams.

The next year is fully non-guaranteed. The Rockets made it a condition before trading for him and Lawson agreed to it.
I can't see it though as we all know how much King and Hollins are in love with Jack and simultaneously not interested in adding headcases to the team (e. g. Lance in the past).
Terrence Jones is a player who I like. PFs who can both stretch the floor and block shots are pretty rare.

Jack has outplayed Lawson this season badly.
I'm all for trading Bojan but Lawson has been horrible

Yea I actually pray nothing like this(Lawson for jack) is true... I fear this would be a King move but I dare not place my faith in his hands...
Maybe a three team situation where rondo goes to Houston, Lawson and Boogie to Sac, Ben to BKN?

lawson could be a disaster here , but nets only have 5 wins although this seems to be a very lateral move at best unless people think any of the players we get can play at a higher level than jack and bogs?

You guys are crazy Lawson is a good player. He just doesn't fit in that Rockets team just one bit. He has a much broader skill set, plays the pick n roll very well, and much faster than Jack. This is a good trade but if I were the Nets I would rather give Larkin a shot as a starting point guard and look for a wing that can actually shoot the ball.

Umm, Lawson was a borderline all-star in Denver. I hope it's true because this would be a complete steal.

Net Sentence brought up some very solid points about Lawson benefiting from the high altitude in Denver.
Compare his home and away numbers from the last few years and you'll see a marked difference in quality.
Compare his overall numbers this year to his home and away from last year and you'll notice that his numbers this year are closer to Lawson's away numbers than his home numbers.
Again, one can easily make the argument that Denver's play and stats at home were inflated even when they won 57 games because it's hard for teams to come in and play them with the high altitude, let alone on the 2nd night of a back-to-back or 3 games in 4 night stretch.

This seems like a deal that could be pushed from the Rockets side.
They're desperate to change things up with their high expectations. After the Nets dreadful start, they're finally coming into their own identity. As much as I can't stand Billy King's mantras (which always reflect some value the championship-winning team from the previous season had/embodied), I highly doubt he's going to flip the switch when things are getting better.
I admit that I haven't really watched the Rockets much but it seems like Lawson's playing quite poorly and Rockets fans can't stand Terrence Jones. The Nets have enough athletic mobile 4s on the team. We need wing players badly.
If a trade happens, King better be getting back some draft compensation and/or serviceable wing player.

People said I was crazy during the summer but Lawson is playing to those road number. Playing in the NBA at 5'10" is hard enough when you have your sht together. Recovering from alcoholism makes that nearly impossible. If Allen Iverson couldnt do it then Ty Lawson isnt going to be able to do it either.
This trade doesnt work numbers wise so I cant take it seriously. Just because the guy who posted this said someone is an "insider" doesnt mean sht. For all we can know the so called insider is a janitor.

Dont believe this for a second. This trade does nothing for us across the board unless they are sending a 1st rnd pick. We are decent at the pg and pf spots. We need wings and this deal does nothing to improve that unless they are gonna get other teams involved and usually those deals dont work out.

I wanted Nets to take a chance on Lawson when Denver was trying to trade him, but he has been awful this season and his issues have increased since then. I don't know anymore, he's clearly a very talented and skilled player, but his head doesn't seem to be in the right place.Jack is building up his value, and Bogdanovic's value is low right now. Not good to sell low on Bogdanovic, and it might be best to keep Jack around longer. I would wait and see whether Lawson can improve, but then Houston probably wouldn't want to trade him if that were the case.

Am I missing something here? Where's the drastic difference between his home vs road numbers? Yes his efficiency drops in all of those seasons, but that's pretty much every player in the league. Most players (and teams) shoot worse on the road, so Lawson's efficiency dropping is expected. His raw numbers however, are roughly the same as home. So I'm sorry to say but that's just bs that his numbers were a product of playing in high altitude Denver. His numbers this year aren't close to anything from his career.
Edit: it's a bit hard to read the numbers on the post but the formatting was better when i was writing the post.

If this deal is real, I'd pull the trigger if Lawson was open to rebuilding his career here. Guy just is a bad fit in Houston with Harden.
