Terrific acquisition by Sean Marks. What makes it even more interesting is the fact Kilpatrick went undrafted in 2014. He's relatively new to the NBA in general.

It also says a lot about Markel Brown. He was selected in 2014 and Sean is making him absolutely irrelevant.

Dude has been balling out. and i can see him continuing in a microwave role off the bench. my only question is how does he look overall once his offense comes back to reality and he is scoring 10-12 points off the bench instead of 18-20? does he defense start becoming an issue?

either way, great 10 day signing and great to have him next year on the cheap. the guy has been the only reason to watch this team the past month

Big win signing in the short term....

now lets see what he looks like in a soon to be full season next year...

He just brings so much energy on the court, it's palpable. Kilpatrick and RHJ might just end up defining the personality of the Nets moving forward, excellent signing

I have him penciled in as a bench scorer. He's skilled enough to give us legit punch off of the bench. His defense is not very good so he's not a starter, but definitely a guy that I think will be a + player for us if we can get a solid starting 2 guard or SF to pair with RHJ in the starting line up.

The guy comes to play every night and is aggressive. We need guys like him, it just sucks his defense is pretty below average.

He's going to have the scouting report out on him next season so we'll have to see how he adjusts, but I love that floater in the lane and the confidence in which he steps into each shot...man. Great pick up.

How do you know if this is not his normal way of scoring. There are already games where he doesn't play well. What makes you think he is still and only riding this wave of confidence. Maybe he is just that good. He was a scorer all his life. And there are reasons why he was never drafted high. Why can't he be just this good? The only time I can see his stats going is when the rest of the league learns that he is that good of a shooter which they are more prepared for the next the team meets

Well Harden was playing off the bench when the Thunder reached the finals. I'm sure if Kilpatrick was able to prove he could average nearly 30 ppg, while helping his team get a top seed in the playoffs, then he would start too.

His current efficiency and scoring rate is definitely unsustainable but even if he gives us 45% FG% with 38% from 3 pt, and gets to the FT line like he is now, that would be great. Right now, he has an unsustainable TS% of 69.3% over 11 games, which is crazy.

Ummm... not necessarily. If you watched the game against CHA, Kilpatrick and RHJ played great together. Actually I take that back, Killpatrick, RHJ, AND LOPEZ played great together. The time we made the comeback, they were in the line-up. I can see the nets building off of something between those players. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pulling the trigger that Kilpatrick is a star in a making, but I believe he will be a huge impact player.

Hey, I'm not knocking the guy at all, I am just being honest his defense leaves a lot to be desired. It's no shame in it at all, not everyone is a two way player, in fact two way NBA players are scarce...I believe in maxmizing what guys do best. Kill is a scorer, and an efficient one at that...let him focus on that, if for some miracle he explodes next season and rockets himself into another tier, well we have him locked in But if we can land a wing guy that is a two way player that would really be huge for the rotation next season, RHJ is a Defender, Kill is a scorer, Bojan is a scorer, we need someone that can defend the perimeter AND score. Plus, the guy is a flamethrower. Bench or starting i don't care, I think he'll be a contributor.

He's got ice water in his veins from what I've seen thus far. No fear to take shots, and he does so in rhythm. I've yet to see him take bad, forced shots.

He's going to cool off a bit, but with his skill set it won't be something bad. I think we can easily punch in 12 pts a night at bare minimum next season.

I like the guy's attitude. He has legit NBA talent but he wasn't handed anything and has been cut a few times. He came in here, and didn't hesitate to attack opponents, and seized the moment. You can't really say that we've had a young guy come in here offensively and do that in YEARS.

I try to stay tempered, but the more you see from him the more you get excited about how much he can help this team next season.

I think he can improve that. I don't view him as a finished product whatsoever. He's a sophomore that has officially solidified himself as an NBA player.

Honestly, Sean reminds me a lot of Danny Green. Green started off as a microwave scorer in the D-League. Became known as a reliable shooter and then he developed his defense and rebounding once he carved himself a role on the Spurs.

I like his shot release, seems very pure. Pesky defender and has some ball handling skills that he hasn't scratched the surface. I like him as a 6th man type of player.

I don't think he has the physical profile to be a good defender along with the defensive bball iq. But at least he gives good effort on the defensive end and at this point, that's really all you can ask for.

Lou Williams excels at getting to the line, doesn't play as hard on defense, and is a ball stopper on offense. I think Marcus Thornton was a good comparison out of current NBA guys but Kilpatrick might be more consistent/efficient & a better shooter than Thornton.
