Whether you feel he is a long-term fit or not, you cannot deny that CLV rises to the occasion, and can get you a bucket against the stingiest defenses.
It started in February/March and spilled over into the bubble.
I 100% agree he must become more efficient as a player and knock on wood he must stay healthy.
But in terms of pure talent, he's always had it.
Not to mention he's on a team-friendly contract which he will far outplay.
It's funny how he went from pure slasher/ok shooter, to midrange assassin/36 3pt%/good slasher.
The one thing which is obious is that mentally he BELIEVES he is a star and is playing like it. Love to see it.
Not every prospect/player can break that mental barrier. I think having vets like KD, JCrossover, Ky are working wonders for him.
Next step for him is to become more efficient which I think unlocking the midrange under Vaughn should help in that department.
I think his defense must improve although I understand he's exerting a lot of enrgy on O but to be a star player you must play both ways. He has good size and talent it's a matter of wanting the role more IMO.
