If Rondo comes through then we definitely need to pursue(as if we needed any more reason) a top scorer or above avg

I can see Rondo doing more good than harm here....

Did you mean it the other way? More harm than good?

rondo can go both ways in my opinion although he did or say some dumb things with kings, he seemed to be decent teammate this year.

love this and hope its true. Rondo is my top choice at PG. he would make brook so much better. he is a 2 way guy. and if he continues to improve his three point shooting and make it a plus, the sky is the limit for him.

Brook and Rondo are solid bookends.

I like Rondo as well. Signing him would still allow us to sign 2 more to fill in our need at the the wing & PF (Baze & Horford?)

I agree. And then you possibly add Horford? Brook and Al could dominate the paint and run PnRs all day with Rondo.

I admit I wasn't too keen on bringing in Rondo, but I think I can get to like it if it were to happen.

Also, I think Rondo is more realistic than Horford. Horford will be hot on the market. He's going to have a lot of teams chasing him. I don't know what Brooklyn can offer that other elite to above average teams can't.

I like that we're hearing interest from him. As we've been debating all along, for me its between Rondo and Lin. Happy to see interest from Rondo, could also push Lin to start thinking of deals.

Would be very happy to have Rondo on my team, could be huge for Brook and allow us to get shooters

Yeah, I'm not sure why Horford would choose the Nets over other destinations that are ready to win now.

Some people really like RAPM numbers. The updated multi-year RAPM numbers are out and they don't give a pretty picture for Rondo:

ORAPM: -1.23
DRAPM: -1.36
Overal: -2.6

And the defensive numbers definitely seem to match reality. He loses his man very easily or doesn't give much effort on that end.

Below are HIGHlight videos of Rondo. And before anyone says "Well it's expected he wouldn't do well against Kyrie and Steph", just watch him focus on him during the defensive sequences. He doesn't pay much attention; and when he actually does pay\ attention, he doesn't give much effort.

Those metrics match what Mavericks and Kings fans have said about him.

Before we go any further, I'd like to see Prok and Net Sentence address this because they swore that Rondo was elite defensively despite what fans of teams that saw him every night over the last two seasons were saying.

At this point, I don't care if we bring him in or not. we need talent. i'm not in favor of tanking without picks.

that being said, in light of the debates that took place over the last several weeks...i want to see what the spin will be now?
