Considering FA is winding to an end, I think it's an excellent time to get the discussion going for the Nets Board's Top 25 Lineups 2017 Rankings!

Now that the dust of free agency has settled, it's time to evaluate the best lineups that teams will be trotting out this upcoming season

Credit to NyCeEvO - this post is inspired by his top 25 players series

For the newbies and frequent visitors on our forum, here are the rules:
Spoiler:
One of the reasons for doing this is to kill time during the dead of summer when there's nothing else to do and we're waiting for the next season. I will post a list of lineups and out of that list of lineups you vote for one. You also need to nominate a lineup not listed in the current voting pool but a lineup you'd like to see available to be voted for in the next round.

For instance, let's say it's the first round and the available candidates to vote for are lineups from CLE, GS, TOR, SA, and BOS. I decide to vote for CLE this round but I believe POR has the next best lineup. Since POR is not available to be voted for, I nominate them to be included in the next round of available candidates. The nominee with the highest number of votes will be included as a candidate to vote for in round 2.

In the situation of a tiebreaker, a 24hr period will be given for people to change their votes. You can only change your vote to one of the players who shares the tiebreak.

If there's still a tie after 24hrs, I break the tie.

Simple, right?

In the past we've had non-Nets board members who regularly visit our forum participate. Unless you regularly participate on our boards (e.g. Dirk Nowitzki), here are the voting rules for non-Nets board posters.

Voting rules for non-Nets board posters:

Spoiler:
If you are not a regular on the Nets board or you don't post here often you need to vote for 3 rounds in a row in order for your votes to count.

I welcome outsiders to vote, but we don't want outsiders intentionally screwing up our rankings. No hard feelings but this is the most effective method I can use to make sure non-regular posters aren't sabotaging our system.

Let's go! 8-)

Just a quick note.... calling the thread "Pt.2" is confusing as it makes it seem like this is the 2nd installment of the ranking series, not the second ranking of the first installment. I'd advise changing the title so it's less confusing.

I realize this is the Cavs round  still need votes tho -bump-

I think the list can get pretty interesting from this point forward. The top of the league seems poised to have a lot more teams from the Eastern Conference than in years past

This list is projecting the best 25 lineups for the upcoming season. Since the Thunder are a team that has lost 2 starters (and is on the verge of losing a third) it'd be tough to put them ahead of even a team like Portland - who were projected to be a lottery team when they lost Aldridge and Batum. Your vote is respected nonetheless

westbrook is a top 5 player and until he's trade they are still a top 5-10 team for me. they belong up there.

The vote is tied and I will vote Cleveland as the winner of this round to break the tie.

Since the nomination has failed to reach a consensus, we will stick with the candidates of this current round for the next
