It's never too early to start the trade talk.

Marks need to get on the phone with Phoenix and get Brandon Knight. Brandon Knight is basically Randy Foye from 8 years ago with his ability to play both PG and SG. He would be a very good fit next to Lin.
The Suns have a glut of Combo Guards: Bledsoe, Knight, Ulis, Barbosa, Goodwin
The Suns have nothing at SF: Tucker, Warren
A Bogs for Knight trade makes too much sense for both parties. Bogs looks very expendable with Joe Harris doing a lot of the same things and hopefully getting LeVert back.
And if the Nets want to get really gimmicky they can coin the Brook-Lin-Knight threesome.
Get'er done.

I don't like the amount of years left on Knight's deal but I'd do it because he'd fit right in and would save us some trouble with having to get more talent in the offseason.
Problem is, the guy put up 19 and 5 last season if you're Phoenix do you trade him for Bojan straight up? is that fair value in return?

Knight just averaged 20 and 5, plays OK D, highly doubt they would trade him for a guy who comes off the bench for supposedly the worst roster in the league with bad D.

This is my thinking. I see no reason as to why Phoenix would do it. I wouldn't trade for Bojan if I have a 19 and 5 player.

I'm going to keep talking about Donatas Motiejunas until he gets signed.
If he's healthy, he'd help out the bench so much.
I think the Rockets might end up doing a sign and trade.

MCW for Bojan?

Available and even trade. I wouldn't mind him being a back up.
Delon Wright for Bojan?
Man I want Delon to be in a BK uniform this year. I think KA will do wonders for him. He is also tall enough to have the same role as Jeremy Lin did in CHA.

exactly...
bogs doesnt have that value. and the suns need forwards and bigs. i think lopez for knight or bledsoe should be the focus.
i think atkinson is better served with a modern day center. stretch bigs and mobile bigs who can defend. move away from brook and get a legit gaurd

I don't think Phoenix would have any motivation to do that deal. Knight is the 2nd best player out of that bunch.
- Many of the best 6th men are combo guards. Bledsoe is more than fine strictly running the 1.
- Not only is Ulis a rookie (and therefore the Suns need time to evaluate how good Ulis can be), the guy is way too small to do anything but the play the 1 regardless of what his actual strengths are.
- Barbosa is about to retire. They're not going to give away Knight just because Barbosa is on the team.
Additionally, Knight is on a decent contract considering the rise in cap. Keeping good, young talent on a fair contracts is an imperative for bad teams.
Then, we have to ask why would Phoenix trade Knight (who's locked in until 2019-20) for an older, less productive RFA.
Phoenix would be giving up talented youth solely to solely for the purpose of gaining a bigger body. There are easier ways for them to get quality SFs without giving up Knight, especially considering that the Suns would have to immediately turn around and enter into contract negotiations once the season is over.

what position would knight play on nets?

Depending on whether Sacramento wants to blow it up, I could see them having a fire sale (which could include trade DMC).
If the Kings have a 1st round draft pick at 10 or higher, they get to keep their pick and give Chicago a 2nd round pick. Otherwise, they send their 1st round pick to Chicago.
If the Kings don't start off well, management may decide to cut their losses and tank for this draft.
Considering that the Nets are $18.6mil under the cap, we could trade for Rudy Gay (and Ben McLemore) without having to worry about coming within 125% of the incoming salary.
This is a more of a true win-win for each franchise, if the Nets believe Rudy Gay can fit into the system of what the Nets are trying to establish here. The Nets can take a flyer on him for the rest of the season and see how things work out. If it fails, he's a free agent to whom we haven't committed any future money.

Either starting 2 or 6th man at the backup 1/2 position.

I'd do the Rudy Gay trade in a heartbeat if Marks thinks he fits in.

I don't think he fits a motion offense. I also don't see him as a player that would force the coaching staff to change their offense since you consider all the variables of his age, talent, marketing, etc.

A team that I see that would be having a fire sale is the Bulls. I can see us acquiring is Mirotic. I can also see us taking Robin Lopez's contract.

Everyone knows what will get Phoenix interested in trading and it's taking on Chandler.
I left that part out to avoid the vitriol.

You mean they won't want anything back? I doubt it. That means no other team in the league wants Gay. If that's the case it probably means Gay isn't very good in the new modern NBA.
