Keep the rotation tight. 9 man squad:

Bigs:

Lopez, Booker, Scola, Hamilton

Wings:

RHJ, Harris, Bojan

Ball handlers:

Lin, Foye

No one else really needs to play for now.

It would be kind of refreshing to see starters play closer to 30 minutes, wouldn't it? I don't know if Brook-Lin have actually been on the floor together even 90 minutes yet this preseason.

Having suffered through the Lakers 14-15 debacle I can be patient. Hype ceiling is at 25 wins for now, subject to change in either direction. But I have a hard time believing this team is a near-lock (half a game under 21, heh), to underperform the dysfunction of 15-16.

That 9 man rotation looks solid. I think its key that Lin plays an effective 36 mins, BRK needs his ball handling, playmaking, aggression, AND shooting badly. If Lin provides plus defense thats just the cherry on top. Foye/Vazquez ideally shouldnt need to log more than 12 mins at PG. When Lin sits, its gonna get ugly as there's no penetration threat.

This team will be living and dying by the 3 to eke out wins.

Agree with that..they should be plenty of minutes for everybody and whoever is playing well will get additional minutes..Some nights Bogs gets 30, other nights Harris get 30 based on how well they are playing.

This roster does need a physical/athletic big man that can block shot and grab rebounds..The best we have is Booker but he's a tweener at 6'7...He did a great job on Porzingis tho which surprised me.

Also, where's Vasquez?....While I don't like how slow he looks and the fact that he doesn't initiate fast-breaks by always walking it up the floor, I still feel he's been better than Foye.

But I agree with a 9-men rotation and this leave one man out..Foye or Vasquez...Vasquez did get 8 assist under less than 20 minutes which is impressive...Foye hasn't shown me much at all.

Lin will definately have to play more than 30..probably 33..Let Vasquez play the remaining 15 minutes which is good enough for him...If lead is evaporating because of Vasquez, Kenny should be ready to pull him out early and put Lin back in..You of course do not want Lin to play 40 every night, but we don't want to lose games because of Vasquez.

I'would like to also see Lin minute be scattered to play alongside as many shooters as possible..The best court spacing line up could be
Lin/Harris/Bogs/Hamilton/Lopez...or switch Hamilton for Scola....Should get plenty of 3PT shots.

I had heard Marcus Smart was going to miss at the very least a couple games..I hope he does....If he doesn't play, it does help Nets a little bit.

I mean we can swap Foye and Vasquez depending on what is needed defensively. But that's about it. I think Harris pushed Kil out of the rotation for now. I don't think this team needs to play 10 players on any night unless injury or someone badly needs a quick breather.

Chemistry between Lin and Lopez, that's what I want to see. That needs to be our primary attack, supplemented by the 3 ball.

So excited!!!

One game at a time. I would love to see our team make a statement by winning the first game and shut up the annoying and entitled Celtic fans.

Well, he has improved quite a bit, still very erratic but his D is good.

His injury was bad but it has progressed well.

Normally that's true, but I think this team has to out energy the opposing team on both ends, especially with the bench, I do believe 10 men rotation makes sense here. The old vets - Scola, Vasq and Foye shouldn't play too much. Both Brook&Lin are not high minutes guys. RHJ and Booker need to go all out all the times. Not sure if Hamilton, Bogs and Harris are particular high stamina as well.

the roster does not seem to be set... so I'd expect at least 10 men deep... #developmentmode

Bropez might not be a high minutes guy but Lin certainly is a high minutes guy. Past few years Lin never got heavy minutes, but when he did, like the 50min 2OT game, or starting games playing full mins on a turned ankle, played fine.

Especially the first dozen games, we will need heavy minutes from Lin. Obvious in pre-season, with a few exceptions, Nets only looked like a competitive NBA team when Lin was on the floor.

When Greivis gets full mobility back and everyone settles into their role, then Kenny can let Lin back to 32 mins. Lin will be the first to take on the minutes, the decision is up to KA & Lin perhaps 40 min, they will not reprise the MDA/JLIN-knee it's irrelevant ancient history.
