This is the game im most worried about so far.
We havent really played a team with gaurds and wings determined to get to the rim. So far through 3 games we have struggled to stay in front of people, way too many guys in the paint. Wade/butler/rondo will be attack and have looked to have great chemistry so far.
also, rondo in the pick and roll. Delly killed us with it vs milwuakee and overall we have struggled to gaurd screeens. its going to be tough.
on the flip side, brook always owns robin, so one of the few nights we can expect brook to be aggressive, he is always motivated vs his brother.
Bulls D is tough, i watched the bulls celtics game and they switched everything and held their own. their gaurds/wings are big and strong and have the quickness too.
should be our best test so far.

Just continue the strong effort on both ends and we'll see what happens.
Lin is going to need a strong off game and he's due.

The Bulls are surprisingly so far shooting 45% from three as a team which is 1st in the league. I'm more worried about our bench defending the likes of Mirotic, McDermott, Grant, etc.

Prediction: lost by 12pts. 112:100. But if Lin and RJH's could make 45% FG beside other players keep about the same as previous game, we had a chance. If Foye played backup pg, we had a better chance to win.

Time for Bulls' outside shooting to come back down to earth.

I dont find that suprising at all to be honest. We knew mirotic was a good shooter and jimmy butler shot it at 40% from three before getting hurt. rondo has put a focus on it and may have a late career surge simialr to jason kidd. rondo shot 37% from three last year on 170 attempts.
Wade has never been a 3 point shooter.... but that doesnt mean he cant hit that shot... he simply didnt take them, its not that he was poor from team neccisarily.
most importantly, those guys are all vets who dont take bad shots. so when they do take threes, they typically are open and on catch and shot plays.
i dont think they will be tops in 3 point percentage all year, but they wont struggle from deep like many assumed

I know people don't like Wade but I think he's a great, great basketball player. He knows how to win and he's a tough clutch player. Butler is one of the best in the game. Rondo is maybe the 2nd best pure PG after CP3 and is so, so savvy. They have a better bench. On paper, they're a bad matchup. Nets will need to establish Brook and let him take it to Robin. Lin needs to start strong and keep the assists high like the last two games, but score in the mid 20s as well. Hope his jumper is falling tonight. RHJ just has to play better. He has to guard Butler or Wade effectively and have a better, smarter offensive game. Hopefully the jump shots fall from most of the guys, Harris, Bogs, Hamilton, if they hit their 3s, that opens up things for Brook-Lin. It's just defensively, even if the scoring is there, this is a veteran team with guys that know how to manage game situations vs. guys still feeling things out and getting used to a system and each other. I'll take a moral victory. Another competitive, game is in reach the last 3 minutes is success in my opinion. If there is no third quarter meltdown, that also is a move in the right direction.

Wade is great, no doubt about it. Even at his age.
But Rondo as a good PG? I mean, it doesn't take very much to look good playing with 3 future hall of famers. He is a pg cannot shoot. If I am coach, I would ignore him on defense and dare him to shoot.
Nets should do what they have been doing. Just keep on fighting.
As for Lin, please NO more jump into the mid-air and pass the ball. If you already in the air, just throw the damn brick up.

Lin needs to go under every screen/pick and just give Rondo the shot. Lin tends to go over/fight through the screen, which leads to open 3s for the other team as his teammates collapse.

We need Brook to have a good game, and decent shooting from Harris, Bogs. Lin needs a strong showing as well, and RHJ has his work cut out for him on Defense.
I don't expect to win, but I definitely think we can hang around for a bit.

Where'd Ally go on the first post of game threads?
Lots of positive comments about the Nets on the Bulls forums, though the consensus is still that this should be an easy win for them. Looking forward to a rested Lopez making them pay for their complacency. And also looking forward to Canaan, a backup PG our bench should be able to compete well against.

Vasquez seems not even 80% recovered yet. Whitehead might fit the motion offense better for now.
