Sucks to see Vasquez go from a personality standpoint but it's obvious that he's done. Excited to see Whitehead and Yogi tonight.

Really unfortunate. I loved the toughness and leadership Vaz could bring. he is a gamer, competitive, and a great guy off the court. too bad he couldnt get healthy and have a role.

nice to see another young guy gets some minutes though. good for yogi

To reiterate, feel bad for Grevis - the dude has heart. But I'm stoked for Whitehead's development, and the other young PGs

Sorry to see GV go, I wasn't super high on him but he moved the ball.

I'm very happy, however for Yogi. He is a competitor just like the other guys so he will fit in seamlessly, lets hope he can make the best out this chance.

Sucks for Gervis, he had a good(bad) attitude that you'd want. Did his job to his best capacity.

Good for Yogi and congrats to Isiash for coming through and giving the coaches the complete trust.

will yogi even get much time with foye back now? he has to wait for an injury himself to get minutes.

I didn't like what I saw from Vasquez so far, but I still thought he had more promise as a ball handler than Yogi. Good luck yogi and best wishes, Vasquez.

They probably think Whitehead is ready and needs the playing time

Overall, I'm happy with this move, as it shows the Nets organization isn't content on being pushovers by default. Nets really are showing their #brooklyngrit.

Sucks that Vasquez didn't work out here. I thought he was a good fit for this roster, personality wise, and a good facilitator on the floor. Shame that he'll need ankle surgery again. Best of luck to him.

I liked Yogi in preseason but not sure if he's worthy of some backup minutes. I guess time will tell.

Wow, that's a huge vote of confidence in Whitehead. He is the backup now, no D-League development for him. He hasn't looked overwhelmed, even starting this early into his career, and has shown improvement every game. This will be huge for his career, I hope it works out for him and us. Yogi will still spend a lot of time in D-League. With Lin and Whitehead and Skill and Foye at a pinch, he won't see a whole lot of time.

Talk about flushing 5 mil down the drain. Never understood his signing at anything more than the min, after his severe ankle issues and seemingly lack of recovery from injury/surgery.

Nonetheless, Whitehead has shown flashes and should thus get all of backup PG mins when Lin comes back. In fact the better Whitehead looks the longer they should let Lin get to 110%.

Not to hate Vasquez but he was a momentum killer. Taking ill advised shots when it's unnecessary.

I've been saying GV can't play since pre-season. Thankfully Marks and Kenny get it. This team is coached well and the front office has its act together. Nice guy, physically may be done for a while. Good call to cut him. Tough business.

The bench looks better without him. He was like an anchor holding them down. Things keep looking up. Hopefully this team can keep alternating wins and losses till Lin returns.
