Feel bad for Tyson Chandler. Now will he play on Sat?

sad to hear that about TC's mother.

We need a win tomorrow. No way in hell should we allow two straight losses. Is IW cleared to play? we need him badly in the line up. I'd rather split the PG minutes between IW and Foye and let Kilpatrick get back to playing his brand of basketball.

Oh geez, is this going to be another "scheduled" loss for the nets?

Bledsoe and Booker will go off, we need RHJ to contain Warren, that guy is balling this year. Need another big game from Brook and Kilpatrick need to play better than last game. I think it will be a close fun game.

TJ Warren is a beast, I f'd up and let him go in fantasy because i had a glut of wings and needed big man depth and now i'm kicking myself.

whitehead is out. We need to start Foye at PG.

I would start Foyd at PG and let Skil come off the bench to lead the second unit and help ball handling with Yogi. The lineup I want to see is:

Brook / Ham
Booker / Scola
RHJ / Bennett
Bog / Skil / Harris
Foyd / Yogi

Can Bennett play the 3?

Out: Levert, Lin, CMac, Whitehead

All 11 players will get minutes which is nice.

At least the Knicks game let the Nets know that Kilpatrick absolutely cannot play point guard.

Down 3 point guards makes it ridiculously tough, but I think this is the game we should go all out for the W in. The Suns are the worst team we play in this stretch, we'll come off 3 days rest and have high energy for the start of the trip. We can't beat the Clippers so give Lopez extra minutes and rest him in the next game, then bring him back vs Lakers and hope Whitehead is ready to go. If we lose this game, I predict an 0-4 trip.

they arent struggling they are just young and not very talented.... no so different from us only their young talent is better and their vet talent isnt as good.

it will likely come down to how well we shoot... like most games.

More than two weeks ago Levert said he'll be ready in two week. Do we have any words or updates on him?

This game is a must win if we don't want to fall down the hole. After this we have Clippers and Lakers back to back, I would rest Lopez against Clippers and play him against Lakers if we are resting Lopez at all.

I hope it won't be another close heartbreaker lost.

If we have no Lin or Whitehead again and are struggling to get the ball up the floor (like we were with Jennings last game), doesn't it make sense to get the ball in someone else's hands? Why not get it to Booker and have him get it into our half? He's got good handles on the break and would teams really send their PF full court to pick him up? Or maybe RHJ. The coaching staff spent the summer working on his ball handling, if he has a better chance of getting us into our sets that Yogi or Foye, let him handle the ball more. And if they send their pg to defend full court, commit him and get the ball to our guard that suddenly has a mismatch against a big on the perimeter. Would the Knicks have really sent Porzingis to guard Booker full court? Get it over halfway and then get into our sets.

Ball handling off of a rebound in transition and attempting to initiate the offense from an inbounds pass are two totally different animals. It's easy to push the rock up the floor when the defense isn't set if you have decent ball control like Booker does. When the defense is set and you've got to contend with man on man defense and also half court traps, Booker isn't going to be able get through that.

Randy Foye and Sean Kilpatrick are capable of bringing the ball up the floor off of the inbounds. RHJ's ball handling is not up to where it needs to be to do that.

Yogi should be able to get up the court with ease, but, I think he got jittery playing in his first NBA game.

I mean, it's hard to complain about our PG woes at this point.... GV cut from team, Whitehead injured, Lin injured, of course we're struggling to move ball up court.

At this point though since we lost GV for year and Whitehead was supposed to get limited time anyway this season, why not consider making a play for a combo guard that's maybe a FA? can we give out 10 day contracts yet?

edit- what about one of the OG Net killers, Nate Robinson? Get him in here to see how he can help us, and maybe we elect to keep him around for the rest of the season to ease the problem of losing Vasquez and issue of having to play too much Whitehead. He won't be part of the long term rebuild of the Nets, but could prove to be a decent ball carrier and help with the depth chart.

I think levert could very well be ready.... but they wont push him or anyone with injuries based on what weve seen and read so far and what you see in san antonio. they take an ultra cautious approach with guys. might be another 2 weeks or more. he isnt practiving yet, they may want him to learn the system some in practice before seeing game action
