This man should be an all-star, hands down. We need to start pushing for it (even though he'd be a reserve) just to get the train moving more.

No doubt, All-star and 3rd best player on the team. Spencer has arrived.

I definitely agree.....All Star voting starts on the 25 and goes January 20.

I'm going to ask all my Fam to support Spencer

Kobe says he’s an all-star.

Bryant got an ovation from the crowd when he was shown on the scoreboard. He also had two big fans playing on the court — Spencer Dinwiddie (39 points) and Trae Young (47 points). And each of them put on a show.

Dinwiddie was particularly thrilled to see Bryant, whom he idolized as a youngster.

“I’m a real mellow guy for the most part, but not with Kobe. He’s by far my favorite player of all-time. His career was basically my childhood. I was juiced,” Dinwiddie said. “That’s probably why I missed my first 3-pointer off the backboard. I’m not going to lie to you. For real.”

Meanwhile, Dinwiddie ($10.6 million) is averaging 26 points per game over that span.

“He was like, ‘You’re playing like an All-Star.’ And I was like, ‘Man, I’m trying. Thank you,’” Dinwiddie said. “Obviously, for me, that was big-time. That’s Kobe. That’s Black Mamba. I don’t know him personally, but I guess I kinda do now.

“We’re best friends,” Dinwiddie joked. “Real casual.”

The Nets officially have their 3rd star, and Kenny will finally have his dream dual ball handler backcourt when all of this comes together. There is no way we can return Spencer to the bench after this.

It's crazy to me that there's barely any buzz on his All star campaign around the league. You'll see some of the NBA reporters/TV personalities briefly mention him, but he hasn't gotten much love aside from that. As it stands right now, he's 100% worthy of being an all star this year.

I think Caris should be coming off the bench one way or the other. I just think maybe it's time to start toning down the minutes for his long term health.

It's not a minutes issue...for some reason, freak injuries seem to be the norm for him. It's a shame that he can't go through an entire season without missing a ton of time.

"Per Shams Charania of the Athletic and Stadium, Dinwiddie is in the process of obtaining a Nigerian passport and will join the country's basketball team"

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2887322-report-nets-spencer-dinwiddie-will-play-for-nigeria-national-team

ESPN is reporting he is "trying" to join the Nigerian team.

Not sure how I feel about this. Although I'm leaning toward it being too risky. I'm not sure what he has to gain from this?

I will say this, Spencer is a maverick....No pun intended..... 8-)

Sucks that he tested positive. First and foremost, I hope he recovers well from it, and soon. He's not asymptomatic, and people can have long lasting symptoms related to it. As for our season, I wish we could drop into lotto, but it's just not possible.
