Acy is a beast! I really love the energy he brings with his presence on the court. Having him along with Booker in the PF rotation could go a long way towards bolstering the team's focus defensively each game.

Finally. Bennett is such trash I can't believe he has supporters. Dude can't even get in shape even though his job is to play sports

I feel like Bennett only has supporters because people pity him.
Acy is an interesting choice. He's strong enough to finish at the rim which Bennett could never do.

I wish it was Scola.
Anybody familiar with Acy? What are the major deferences between Booker and Acy?

Scola has off court value that Bennett didn't. I agree that Scola is pretty useless as a player but it's his veteran presence/leadership that's keeping him around.
I'm not too familiar with Acy. I know he looks like Reggie Evans lite, and I know he's a good dunker. That's about it, sorry lol.

Too bad. He had such potential (in every area, including setting screens) and a very high rebound per minute rate (10.6 per 36). I would've given him more minutes before dumping him, but I trust in Marks/Atkinson that Acy is an upgrade.

At least from the high light Quincy Acy finish and dunks the ball well with authority. Which we complaint about Bennett not doing all season long not finishing near the rim. And seems like a very energetic guy on the floor. I like!

Acy gives us another energy hustle finisher. What I'd like to see now is McCullough be brought up to play the stretch 4 role, move RHJ back to playing the wing/4 man in small ball line ups.

I look forward to when Acy evolves into his final stage of Kyle O'Quinn in a few years.
But seriously, I'm intrigued by the signing. I hope it provides more energy and rebounding in spurts. Those games when Bennett collected 8+ rebounds, it really made our bench runs look great. Now that Hamilton seems to have his shooting back in order, I'd like to see more balance with Lopez/Booker, and Hamilton/Acy so we've got a big man outside threat and balanced rebounding at all times.
Just need Lin to come back and then our 3 main weaknesses should be reduced to only 1 (Rebounding, Turnovers, Defending).

Career stats:
Acy: 12.4 PER / .562 TS%, 13.2 TREB%, 1.4 STL%, 2.1 BLK%, 13.2 TOV% /
.438% 10-16 feet / .38% 16 feet to 3pt arc / 71.6% on dunks. AB: 10.3 PER / .452 TS% / 13.9 TREB%, 1.1 BLK%, 1.5 STL%, 12.1 TOV%. /
22% 10-16 feet / .31% 16 feet to 3pt arc / 660% on dunks. Acy is a better dunker and more polished offensively than Bennett. That's about it but he could develop into a fan favorite like Reggie Evans. He was pretty good with the Knicks.
His dunks are disrespectful

Good move by Marks.
Acy will help us by being our backup 4. Tired of seeing RHJ being poorly utilized as a 4. Makes sense only with certain match-ups.
Acy is an energy guy who brings hustle and grit plus he’s been working on his shot. I imagine Kenny will encourage him to let it fly which is fine by me. Only 26 years old so he could be a nice role player for us going forward. If not, just cut him no damage done. AB was giving us nothing and his lack of BBIQ hurt us. This is a good move because we need more players like CL, IW, Booker and RHJ who bring it defensively. I hope he’s used primarily as our backup 4 next to Hamilton at the 5.

Overall I'm very happy with this move, and think it's a no-brainer waiving Bennett and signing Acy, who clearly who provide more help to the team now. I have used up all my patience with Bennett. I do wish the Nets would have played Bennett a few more games to give him a last chance since he did seem to show signs of a rebounding presence. But of course all his other skillsets were so lousy and his low BBIQ infuriated everyone.
Reading up about Acy, he doesn't seem to do much, besides dunking the ball, but dunking the ball is enough to give you a career in the NBA

. I hope he can help with the rebounding and work on his 3-point shot.

How is Acy's bbiq and defense?
