Don't think they'll waive Foye next. I can see him hovering back and forth as a starter and bench player. Definitely don't think they bring him back next year though.
Scola served his purpose this season in being a vet presence, but honestly what good is it anymore with all the DNPs (outside of being used for practice squad stuff)... guess it had to be done. More time for Nicholson now.

I agree, I think Foye is sticking around.
So, where do we go from here? I think we grab a DLeaguer but I wonder if it'll be a C or a SF.

Can't we just claim him on waivers though or did he already pass?

Luis Scola was simply taking up a roster space on past performances. It was time to send him on a new venture. I'm hopeful they are making a move or opening up a door for Terrence Jones considering the need for his athleticism and play making ability.

T-Jones will find a playoff roster spot. We'll be making a move similar to what the Knicks did earlier today. Waived a vet and signed a DLeaguer.
I'm personally hoping for Anthony Brown. 3&D player shooting lights out from 3 in the Dleague. I know RJ hunter is a popular name on this board but there's better options.

I don't think that we should automatically assume Jones will go to a playoff contender. He's been on one before in Houston and yet he's still managed to find his way to the unemployment line (at least temporarily).
He'll have to battle for minutes on a playoff contender whereas if he played for a bottom dweller he will probably get a lot of minutes, a chance to prove himself, and a minimum 2-yr deal (with a TO on the 2nd year) similar to what we did with Skil.

Scola was a good guy but one has to wonder if he really has anything left in the tank. He's super slow now and can only really be a serviceable as a 3rd stringer or spot backup PF/C. He's a liability on the floor if he plays more than a few minutes.

He was a good guy, I'm sure many clubs will welcome him as a development type coach. I'd be happy to have Scola stay on the Nets and mentor a guys like Nicholson, Acy, and Booker on their post moves. But who knows, maybe he'll try to play another year.

I'm interested in giving Burrell from our D-League team a try. He's got some interesting upside and been working like crazy.

Kind of a weird move. Wonder what we want to do with that roster spot.
