Love this move on the court, but they're definitely taking a chance on his personality if the rumors about Phoenix are true. I guess the 10 day is low risk enough though.

This also confirms Kilpatrick might be out for the next week.

Archie was first released, I was hoping/wondering whether Marks would sign him. Archie is athletic and talented but people have questioned his character. Let's see what he can do.
I wonder if this has any implications on Cliff Alexander. We had one open spot on the roster and Cliff is doing well in the D-League. I read that he's expanded his range out to the 3pt line while still attacking the basket.

Very good read then...
Hunter mustn't be holding his either if he didn't get a tryout.

I always like signing a young guy with potential but this one is a little confusing. However if you're going to sign a guy with attitude problems, its better to tip toe around it (10 day contract in march) than to go all in on him (full contract in October).

What kind of attitude problems?

Just hoping that it won't be too late. Towards the end of the season, anyone with an open roster spot can call him. Not that it would be a killer or anything but I'd like to see him get some action.

The Suns forum had a pretty conversation about him at the time he was released. Before the start of the season all rosters must be trimmed down to 15. While no one was thrilled with Goodwin, no one expected him to be cut over the likes of Derrick Jones Jr. or John Jenkins. So when he was cut, it was pretty shocking.
Most fans on RealGM wanted their teams to pick him up because he was an athletic scorer who possessed the tools to be a good defender. Why not take a flyer on him for cheap? Except no one did.
Idk if you remember one of Markus Morris' incidents before he was traded.
It happened when he and Goodwin got into a scuffle on the bench. Morris pushed him and had his hand around Archie's throat. When asked about it later, Morris had this weird comment about that's how brothers handle things and it was just the wrong place at the wrong time.
Archie had grumbled about PT prior to that incident. Suns fans who were down on him also talked about him believing himself to be better than he actually was and that he was negatively influenced by the Morris Twins and thier antics.
There was also a report that he asked to be traded before the 15 player roster deadline. Instead, the Suns just cut him. At the least, you'd think that if you are going to ask management to trade you, you're already in their good graces and they don't mind taking your request OR they've done you wrong and they believe that they do owe you a fresh start someplace else. Goodwin got neither.
I guess you could say that he needed to be humbled a little bit. I hope his time down in the D-League served him well. He has the tools to be a pretty decent player. I don't see why Kenny's staff couldn't develop him more if he's signed for the rest of the year.

Lakers thought about picking him up as well. Maybe try to uncover another Bazemore type and try to snatch him up. I guess the Lakers werent impressed enough and decided to keep our old spanish guards and eventually Nwaba instead of giving Goodwin a chance.

kilpatrick might be out for season if he has that jeremy lin hamstring type. love this move, archie is athletic, needs improvement on shooting, but he is athletic enough to defend and can play both guard positions and small forward as well with his size.
