Don't know what games people keep watching...?

Last four Nets wins the LOSING team averaging 112.5ppg (our season average scores for the team we BEAT is 108ppg). That means your defense is unfathomably bad in the league and not getting much better.

Newsflash : We wins games by SCORING quicker and more efficiently than the opposition, and then pray for enough stops to hold them off at the end. Story for just about every win this season.

Our D has been significantly better. you need to go by pace adjust points not ppg. our defense was as bad as ive ever seen an NBA team play. our pick and roll D has been better and Acy/Booker have been huge when lopez is off the floor on D.

yeah are D is still bad. it always will be with lopez/skil/tons of rookie and dleaguers. but it was as bad and much improved during this stretch.

Do you guys think they would have rested IT if Nets were in a tight race to the last position?

Even with IT out they still have a very sound and fundamental team. I've been super impressed with Stevens as a coach.

It's my 5 year wedding anniversary though so I'll be out at dinner. I will of course be checking on my phone as often as I can :)

PPG is useless for the team that plays with the #1 pace in the league

Yeah, it's so useless that PPG points per game to the opponent and points differential both DIRECTLY CORRELATE Nets worst record in the league with the worst in both those metrics, smh

Your missing his point... that you need to go by pace adjusted points. especially from game to game.

giving up 112 in a fast pace game isnt worse then giving up 109 in a slow paced game. further context of the game matters. giving up 112 in a game you win bu 10-15 comfortably isnt really worse then givng up 109 in a super tight game where stops mean more late in the game

alot to factor. either way, its clear our defense has been much better of late.

I'm not gonna lie, I'll be disappointed if we don't win a home game against an IT-less Celtics.

You can lipstick your pig any way you want - bottom line is we WIN by offense until proven otherwise.

you cant outscore the other team if they score more then you.... both our offense and defense have been near or at league worst all year. we are winning because both got better. offense was expected with lin back.... but defense has been the suprise. lopez has been ok and booker/acy unit has been very good

Really? Boston is stacked. and they were winning early in the year when IT came off the bench and wasnt playing well.

Bradley - Smart - Brown - Crowder - Horford is still a stacked lineup of 2 way players, elite defenders and much more talent then us. then you still have Amir, Rozier, Olynk, green off the bench.

without Thomas Boston is probably still a 45 win team. They have 3 or 4 guys who would be the best player on the nets.

I know, a bit irrational -- but I think IT is an MVP-level player and it'll hurt the Celtics a lot. IT can bail the Celtics out of a lot of jams with his drive/slash/passes. Not sure anyone else on the Celtics, maybe Bradley, can do that.

But objectively, you're right, there's a reason the Celtics have the 2nd best record in the conference.

IT is a beast... but they are still outstanding without him. and they play great team ball. it will be tough for sure. hopefully their shots arent falling, they rely on the 3 alot too.

but they defend well and we dont, thats why i cant see us win
