Yep
Six players are sitting.....
Lin
Lopez
Booker
Acy
Harris
Skill
An end to a miserable but lessons learned type season. While our draft pick is no means a fair compensation to our woes, we take what we get and we break through it.
Cheers Brooklyn and to our Nets fans community.

Glad they are giving the young guys big minutes this final game. and dont let brook/booker get hurt prior to the draft where he may be trade bait.

How come it appears Booker has declined since the beginning of the season? I loved what he brought at the beginning but now I wouldn't mind getting rid of him.

He didnt get worse... he was pretty steady all year if you look at his splits.. a little dip in march but good in february and picked it up in april.
getting rid of him depends on if we can draft/sign a big or not

Where did all of these Heat fans come from? All of a sudden we are the villains of basketball today.

I applaud Sean Marks for giving the middle finger to the entire Miami Heat franchise after they admittedly waited until the final hour to match Tyler Johnson.

I dont think thats what Marks is doing and if it is he is an idiot... take the high road and dont burn bridges... at some point we may need to deal with Miami.
Marks is the same guy Who cut goodwin so he could sign Clff Alexander to a 10 day contract to get him his money and then cut alexander to sign goodwin again. thats like unheard of.... these guys are all about doing right by GMs/Agents/Players... its good smart business.
Same reason i said we wouldnt pick up skils option and then trade him.. they wouldnt screw skil out of money that way

High road? It's still business. If the Nets want to showcase their backups and spite a Miami organization that took it personal we tried to poach their RFA. How are we burning the bridge?
Marks will do good smart business and has done so but he, I'm sure knew the standings and took it into account. Nobody cared when Morey trolled us with the Montiejunas offer sheet and shut us out. We still ended up doing business with him and getting KJ for free. Nothing wrong with taking a subliminal middle finger to an opponent. It's gamesmanship.

We arent burning bridges because thats not what Marks is doing and not his motivation.... it would be foolish for that to be the motivation for a guy who is 100% about doing the right things

Houston is different... they screwed us we didnt screw them... and us going back and dealing with them just supports the case that Marks isnt about holding a grudge

Can't be too nice or you'd be taken advantage of. Give them a lesson not to mess with us.

Because in this case appearances aren't only deceiving they are flat wrong.
Fact is Booker is by far best Rebounder on this team on an-apples-to-apples basis; Booker PF playing ALONGSIDE Bropez at C outrebounds RHJ. Booker better FG% and RHJ better AST, STL, BLKs. Booker has been steady the entire season with the occasional bad game like every player.
I'm not advocating keeping either if we have better alternatives as we desperately need an upgrade at PF.

I don't think us not playing Lopez and Lin is going to deter Miami from doing business with us if push comes to shove
either way, **** them. Tyler Johnson would have been perfect here for us.

I must say though, this is the most fun I've had watching this franchise in years. Nearly every game was a dog fight from start to finish. There were games we had no business being close in til the end, games we won that we had no business winning. The only loss that really hurt me this season was the game where we lost on a last second Jimmy Butler shot because the team fought so hard the entire game, only to go down by what i felt was a poor choice by Kenny to have Bojan defend Butler.
The win totals don't tell the story, but the Nets played hard and never quit for the first time in a decade. No whining, no pouting, no guys mailing it in after the 1st qtr. Just a bunch of young guys trying to earn their way and playing over their heads more times than not.

Forgive me, but I might spend more time reading the Heat forum than the Nets forum for this game
