Or just put a time limit on picks with a window when the time goes.

Such as you have 12 hours to make your pick between the hours of 8am and 10pm, or you get skipped. Anyone is up to pick can make a pick at any time, but the actual timer only runs between those times.

So say you're up to pick and it's 3pm EST. You make your selection. The next guy up is on the clock from that point forward. His 12 hour countdown begins at 3pm. At 10pm that night the counter stops for the day and resumes at 8am the following day. If he hasn't made his pick by 1pm that following day, next guy is up. If you are skipped, you can make your pick at any time you log on, so there is obvious incentive to check in and make your pick if you're skipped and obvious incentive for the next guy up to make his pick ASAP as well, because a player who wouldn't have still be on the board will still be an option, and so forth.

I think that's probably easier, more realistic and reasonable then trying to get 12 guys online for a 2 hour window to hammer out a bunch of picks, when this isn't like a legit fantasy league draft where you watch your team all season, make trade and adds and drops, with a prize at the end of either money or simply bragging rights.

Just my take on it and I think that's what we did the last time.
