Paul Pierce meticulously and deliberately sabotaged the Nets from the inside

Anyone notice how Paul Pierce never stops himself from dissing the Nets? I know he's a Celtic for life but it's not cool to do that to a team that did no wrong to you (they did more wrong to us fans, but that's a different story). With that said, there have been signs in Pierce's attitude and demeanor in his short stint with the Nets that he did not give it his all.
PP was not the most likable person in the locker room. In fact, this was a time where D-Will was still liked and respected. Yes, Pierce did fulfill a role as a veteran presence but he took himself out of the spotlight when he still had it in him to score 17-20 PPG. After realizing shortly after the start of the 2013-2014 season that this team wasn't what it was hyped to be, Pierce went through the motions.
The silver lining is that we made the 2nd round of playoffs that season... I suppose.
