2017 Nets Build-A-Team Secondary Preliminary Voting Thread- Vote for the Final Two Teams: 24 Hours Left to Vote

Hello! Welcome to the 2017 Nets Build-A-Team Secondary thread. This is open for ANYONE to vote, so if you're not part of the game or even a Nets fan, feel free to throw your votes as you see fit.

The point of this is to find the two best teams out of these six. So check out the teams below and vote on who you think are the two best.

What is the criteria of voting? There are three things you should look at:

1) the depth of the team, how deep is this team? How well configured it is? Is it only strong at one position, but weak at all the others?

2) the future of the team, is this a simple old team that would have a season of two of championship level play and then fade or is built for the longhaul with young assets?

3) how good is this team? Flat out, could it beat everyone else if they were to play every other team?

Using those three prongs, choose which two teams are the best.

If you want a more in-depth look at the various teams, go here. http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1562810

I intend on running a system similar to seven seconds or less, but based around intense defense like the early 90s Runnin' Rebels. In the set offense, I intend of shooting a lot, while running the offense through the point position, but mostly, I would look to get open court and fast break points. Rebounding and great defense is how the team will get out into the open court.

It bothers me that Love isn't starting especially over Harrison Barnes.

I'd definitely move KD to the 3 to play through him and Lowry, make Love the starting 4, and have Barnes come in with the 2nd unit to your run&gun 3&D stuff. I'd see a lot of teams shading towards Lowry and KD because they don't respect Wes and Barnes' games enough.

I hear you. It's a match up thing, not a general thing. I noticed after the Finals, most people weren't respecting Kevin Love's game, so I wanted him on the second unit during the voting phase to get me into the playoffs.

I think people still respect Love more than Harrison Barnes though but I hear you.

Yea, it's a confusing move to put Harrison Barnes in the starting lineup ahead of Kevin Love.

Well, the point wasn't to just look at the starting lineup, but rather, the pieces of the team as a whole. That second line would be good enough to be a starting line up when you look at it from a numbers perspective. There's a reason why Kevin Love and Dwight Howard got moved together: they are a great tandem together.

Holiday
Smart
Ingles
Love
Howard

is a good second line up, and that's what I was going for in regards to this voting. By the way, everyone, Joe Ingles is legit, check out his advanced metrics. He's a heck of a player with an all around skillset.
