Found this on reddit
(didn't F5 for this...) and figured I would share. Everybody knew DWill was a bitch but this really confirms it.
From the Lowe Post Podcast today
For some reason they (Deron Williams and Joe Johnson) couldn't stand each other...D Will got a little primadonna with him. He just had a deal, and some of the stuff that he was doing I didn't particularly like.
We'd come to shootaround and instead of kinda hobnobbing with the guys he's, ya know, over there talking to Billy King. So are you management or part of the team now?
Lowe:
well I think Billy King went on record, or I think maybe it was DWill, one of them referred to DWill, either he referred to himself or Billy referred to him as the Assistant GM of the team, around that time.
Stack:
And I think when you do that it creates dissension and it creates separation from the team and I think that was some of Joe's gripe with Deron.
Cue the MDB **** DWILL post

I think I've posted this before, but in case I haven't...
Every day on the way home from work I drive through the city The Colony, TX. The Colony is where Deron grew up. They have a sign on the side of the road that says 'Home to Deron Williams, Olympic Gold Medalist.'
I flip the sign off so hard on my drive home every day, I'm surprised someone hasn't thought I was flipping them off yet

Deron Williams just never gave a flying ****.
Admittedly, I was a big fan of Joe when he was here, but this where they differ in my books. Yes, both were overpaid. But at least Joe cared. He took care of his body - he's got only 5% body fat; Bondy saw him after midnight once coming back from hot yoga down in South Beach instead of hitting the clubs; Bondy also remarked how when they team got In-N-Out catered after a game he refused to put that in "his Bugatti body". Joe asked Kidd to play him more when we started out the 2013-14 season shakey. He seems to genuinely like the game of basketball, liked being here, thanked the fans. Yes, if you're comparing his contract to his production - he fell short.
The only thing Deron cared about was cashing checks. And you could see the difference this past season when Joe was making tons of big shots for the Jazz, while DWill was firing up brick after brick in the Finals.

I've been a huge Deron Williams defender... But in hindsight there was just something off with him.

I still think D-Will's play promoted better team-oriented basketball than Joe did.
However, if Joe is the one that actually cared about the team more, building camaraderie, and leading, D-Will's play means nothing.
What a terrible era for the Nets.

There's a reason DWill and Jerry had a fallout.
