The Nets announced their preseason schedule on Wednesday — four games in three arenas but none of them out of state. The preseason will also feature a return to Nassau Coliseum, the Nets home during their last seasons in the ABA and their first season in the NBA.
The Nets will open preseason on October 3 when they will travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the Knicks. That’s the only away for the Brooklyns.
The Nets will round out their preseason slate with three home games, beginning with an October 5 matchup with the Heat and an October 8 tilt with the Knicks at Barclays Center. The preseason concludes with an October 11 contest against the 76ers at the Coliseum. All four games will be played at 7:30 p.m.

Less than one week to media day and two weeks exactly until first preseason game.
Who are the Nets players whose play will be the most important to the Nets success or failure this season? (Not the best but potential to be most important this year)
I have
Lin
Mozgov
Russell
Crabbe
LeVert
DeMarre - assuming healthy
RHJ
Dinwiddie
If Jarrett Allen becomes an important player this year, that would unlock so much potential in this roster but I'm not expecting it

Russell needs to become efficient offensively and be assertive on D.

Re: Nets Preseason Schedule
We know what to expect from players like Lin, Booker, and Skil.
- We need Mozgov to hit the open three at at least a 33% clip.
- We need Russell to take the third year leap, make up for Bropez's 20pts/game, and play adequate defense.
- We need Levert to continue to develop, play his usual all-around good game, and improve his 3pt% to at least 35%
- We need Carroll to be healthy and play like he did on the Hawks.
- We need Crabbe to continue his torrid 3pt shooting and improve his overall play plus defense to an adequate level.
- We need Allen to be a hammerdunking, shotblocking beast.
I'm confident that a lot of this could happen.

Re: Nets Preseason Schedule
Just saw that the Sixers have 5 preseason games and the Lakers have 6 (didn't bother to check the other teams).
What the heck? We could surely use another preseason game? (Jake Wiley would surely agree)
Would have been especially helpful for the injured LVJ/Crab and Jar the rookie.
