Is it gonna be Brooklynn's weakest position?

Who is Going to be Brooklyn's starting Power Forward?

Most likely RHJ, maybe DMC

CaptainCanada wrote:Is it gonna be Brooklynn's weakest position?

Depends on RHJ's progress. He was new to the position towards the end of last season. If he does well, DMC, Booker, Acy as backups, that's not bad.

Also depends on how good Jarrett Allen is. If he dominates and wins ROTY then PF might still be the weakest

Depends on the fit at this point. RHJ played well at PF last season but Carroll might play at PF too I hear.

Is there a shot at Brooklynn having a .500 record?

I'd say no. Best scenario somewhere in the mid 30s as far as wins.

Weakest? it might be one of our strongest...

RHJ is far and away our best defender and once moved to PF had one our highest RPMs/RAPMs

Booker is as solid as it gets for a backup. Carrolle and Acy can both stretch the floor one in a big lineup and one in a small lineup.

Center and SF to me are bigger concerns

RHJ, without a doubt.

Agreed. Our weakest spot should be center.

SF: LVJ, Crab and DMC should all be capable starters, one is a solid vet, the other two have good potential. JHar, not bad as fourth string.

C: Moz was a starter for a contender, in the Euro games he looks to be in pretty good shape both physically and mentally
Zeller was a starter for a playoff team, he's not been playing well but should be fine in spot minutes.
Jar is the X-factor to the center position. He plays well, it's fine, he's not ready, it's not so good.
Booker and Acy are undersized here but should be OK as backups.

Looking at the roster;

Lin-Whitehead-Dinwiddie
Russell-LeVert-Kilpatrick
Crabbe-Carroll-Harris
RHJ-Booker-Acy
Mozgov-Zeller-Allen

Levert is a SG and RHJ is a better player then crabbe. booker and carrole are comporable unless carrolle bounces back to his atlanta days.

acy is solid as well

Yeah, center is easily our weakest position.

I'm not overly concerned with SF for the short or long term though, I think LeVert and Crabbe can hold the fort down with some progression and Carroll can fill minutes for now with the former 2 and some RHJ sprinkled in as well.

RHJ has that in a choke hold I forgot they picked up Zeller with more depth at center Allen there's less pressure on Allen.

Mozgoz/Zeller/Allen/Acy at center.
RHJ at power forward
or however it works out maybe Zeller starts?

Levert is a SG

I thought he did fine at SF last season? He's only gonna get bigger
and RHJ is a better player then crabbe.

We shall see, neither is a sure thing

booker and carrole are comporable unless carrolle bounces back to his atlanta days.

Ya, let's hope that happens, he should if he's healthy. If not, he's probably still a better shooter and defender cuz Book slaps at the ball too much on D.

A midseason trade for a really good player , plus perfect health ... And this could happen...
But with current roster doubtful.

RHJ being out PF of the future is cool with me, but I will say I'm disappointed we couldn't build upon his rookie role where he was a playing SG/SF. I would rather RHJ out there defending against the opposing teams best offensive players.

Lin / D'Lo / Carroll / RHJ / Mozgov.

It's better for his offensive game to play closer to the basket. Including using his hands, feet, quickness around other PFs and the East doesn't have many bruising bigs.

His first set of opponents during opening week at the PF position would be Thad Young, Aaron Gordon, Kevin Love. He's done well against them before.

Plus, I think his passing is criminally underrated. He could run a lot of PnRs with Moz, Jarrett, Zeller.

Yeah, I wanted RHJ to play that role. Why the sarcasm? Lol
