Record through 10 games?

Post#1 » by SubZero » Sat Oct 7, 2017 10:47 pm

Anyone wanna predict our record through the 1st 10?

@ IND - L
vs ORL - W
vs ATL - W
@ ORL - W
vs CLE - L
@ NYK - W
vs DEN - L
vs PHX - W
@ LAL - W
@ PHX - L

6-4... Might seem overly optimistic, but it is a really favorable schedule imo. Especially those 1st four games.

I would not be surprised one bit if the team started 8-2, the only real losing no matter what games are CLE and DEN IMO.

Everyone else isnt very good or in dysfunction. Multiple teams there lost good/best players via FA, injury or trade (IND, ATL, NYK, PHX) or are just plain bad (ORL, LAL).

Assuming the team is healthy and offense flow is clicking then i'm gonna guess 7-3. Actually a good thing this easy schedule, as a strong start can REALLY make morale soar and make believers out of everyone.

ESPN is SOOOOO gonna jump on the BRK to Playoffs bandwagon as a break from the usual GSW/Lebron 24/7 coverage.

From Worst to Playoffs: Resurrection of BRK Basketball
Linsanity Pt Deux
How bad did Magic/Lakers **** up by gifting DLo/Moz to BRK? (**** on the Lakers never gets old)
Spurs system is best system Marks/Atkinton FO/Coach of the Year favorites

Lovely fodder that ESPN will chomp into if given half a chance.

Was gonna say this too. We start 3-0, and lose in Orlando as we always do.

Gotta do well in these first 10 games, the 10 games after that is super tough

6 at most, maybe even start the year 3-0. Then wins at Knicks, home against Phoenix, then one of the aways at LA or Phx.

I think we can definitely beat Indiana, Orlando, and Phoenix at home. I think we can beat Atlanta too. the rest is iffy, we don't know how we'll respond on a road trip yet.

i'll temper my expectations and say 4-6.

i hope this comes true man. i'm not that optimistic.

that being said, if it does happen, ESPN will act like they were on our bandwagon the entire time. Michael Smith will do a 360 and act like he knew. Jalen Rose will act like he knew. FOH.

Record through 10 games?

8-2 might seem overly optimistic but I think we’re deeper than people think due to individual improvement and we’re going to be a lot better defensively. This is only based off of cohesion of the opponents during preseason. So, I’d say we could start as good as 8-2 or struggle with TOs and start 4-6.

Let’s not jinx it, though.

I basically agree though there'll be one game where we botch it so I think 7-3 sounds optimistically reasonable.

I’m also thinking of the likelihood a night where Lin or DLo doesn’t have it going on. Sean, Caris or AC become guy who ends up getting 20+ Points w/ 4-5 threes.

Hard to say, the first couple weeks are always up in the air. anyone can beat anyone. its nice we start vs. the few teams who dont have a big talent gap over us. west coast road games are likely to be unkind. i wouldnt pencil in a win vs indy or atlanta so easily... those are well coached team who will play with pride as people are counting them out as well.

too early to predict any individual games. bu a 5-5 start doesnt seem out of reach and if one of those is against the knicks even better.

folks, temper your expectations. we haven't played anyone yet. we have beaten the teams we SHOULD beat.

it means nothing. what happens to us when we get that first ass kicking, is what matters.

temper expectations. it's october 8th.

Actually we might need to go 9-1 just to stay afloat, cuz the next 10 games are gonna be brutal, totally could go 1-9

@Denver
@Portland
@Utah
vsBoston
vsUtah
vsGolden State
@Cleveland
vsPortland
@Memphis
@Houston

Well, why not, prediction?

Probably 2-8 or 1-9,
gotta go all out right out of the gate, take care of business and win against the tanking teams, use the momentum to beat one of Cleveland or Denver at home before that crazy stretch.

I'm feeling 5-5 or 6-4.

We need win as many of these games because the next batch of 10 games will be brutal. :banghead:
